Let’s admit it guys, we have been looking at some pretty tough times over the past few months. Especially if you compare all of the tough moments of the past few months with the beginning of 2019 which, let’s be honest, was a little more than amazing. Boston won the Super Bowl and the Red Sox World Series Victory made the city arrogant. We started to believe in the fact that it would be possible for us to be Title city, to hold four titles at the same time and have the legendary 2019 that we all wanted and we all needed. Except, it didn’t work out as we wanted it to. Watching the past couple of months of games on TV has been like gambling with free online slots games, watching with stars in your eyes, expecting a win and losing more and more points, with disappointment climbing and getting darker and darker. The Celtics have disappointed us, the Brauns have given up the title and the Red Sox have become a laughing stock over the past few months. And there is little we can hope for, with even just a single victory proving to be harder to see for the Red Sox.
Red Sox losing streak
It’s been painful to watch over the past few weeks, but it is something we have to deal with. The reality is harsh, boys and girls, and it is not kind to us at all. It is telling us that the Red Sox might have won last time, but that is the extent of how far they are willing to go. This year, it seems, will be a tough one for Boston. We have had to watch to Sox lose three times to the Yankees after we spent the entirety of last year leering in their faces and taunting them for being losers. Now, after losing to them four times, there is little to do but sit and wonder what is there left to hope for. At the time of writing this, there is little hope that the Red Sox will be reaching enough points to be in any way closer to where they need to be to even get considered for the prize. With a huge game deficit against the top team, there is not a single chance that the Red Sox will be making it to the final. So, I guess it’s back to the old grind, where we have nothing to look forward to in the performance of the Boston beloved. What a shame.
Is there anything at all?
So, with baseball out of the picture, many are asking whether there is any game at all that we could be hoping for a title in. To be honest, yes there is. The Patriots are still out there, and they are still the champions from last year. And they have started the season off with a very impressive victory. The hopes are up for the Patriots, with many hoping that the team can manage to perform the miracle of becoming champions a second time in a row. But, it won’t be easy, and it will take a lot of work, although it is possible.
Boston might not have gone for 4 for 4 this year, but the Patriots might be able to start off another year with a victory that can lead to it. 2020 would make for a great year to go 4 for 4, it would make a very round, very nice number. We can only hope that the teams get their best games going this time around.
