5 Memorable Moments of New England Patriots Team

The season of NFL gives us so many games and a lot of moments to cherish. Current champions of this league is New England Patriots, who are playing the current NFL 2019-20 season as a defender. So, they deserve a mention. After looking at all their games and stats, we have picked up their most memorable moments.

Jimmy Garoppolo against Arizona Cardinals and the emotion flow afterward (NFL Final – 2016)

How good was Jimmy Garoppolo in this match? We think the best he can be. He is the reason why this game is well documented on the printed as well as digital media.

We never knew what is going to happen in the final. No one knows, but the game was nothing less than an eye feast for Patriots fans, primarily due to the poised show of Garoppolo. Throughout his game-winning drive, Garoppolo was steady as well as compost, and he remained the same until a post-game conversation with Michele Tafoya.

Jacoby Brissett crushed Houston Texans (NFL 2016)

Bill Belichick and the Patriots would have never thought that a rookie quarterback will shut down Texans with such humiliating numbers. Jacoby Brissett avoided turnovers and managed the game, which never resulted in any personal awards, but he helped the Patriots to secure a massive victory.

Don’t forget that he was playing as a backup for Garoppolo, who was recovering from a shoulder injury. Tom Brady was also serving a Deflategates suspension of four weeks. So, Jacoby had one more game maximum, still, due to his performance, the Patriots were 3-0 after this game.

The stadium was loud, so loud. The end was a refreshing sight, which will be in Jacoby’s mind for quite a long time. After the match, Bill stated that Jacoby was doing good in the last week of the game and has been improving since he joined the Patriots. That’s right. It was his hard work that the team was on the right song after the game.

Game-changing interception of Malcolm Butler (Super Bowl XLIX – 2015)

New England Patriots dominated the Super Bowl in the early 2000s but had not won a game until they were squared off against Seattle Seahawks. Patriots had lost two Super Bowl seasons against New York Giants in 2007 as well as 2011. To all the football experts, it looked like they will never be able to get over the bump. Even after displaying a stellar game show in front of dangerous Seahawks, Patriots found trapped in the ropes, especially after a magnificent catch by Jermaine Kearse. Seahawks has the ball for the last 26 seconds, but a misjudged pass that went to Malcolm Butler changed the game. It was only Butler, who separated England Patriots from a hat trick lose in Super Bowl games. Coach of the team, Bill Belichick hence saved from answering humiliating questions from the media.

The game of Tuck Rule (Super Bowl XXXVI – 2002)

In the AFC Divisional Round, England Patriots faced Oakland Raiders. The Patriots were able to take a three-decade old revenge by defeating Raiders. The most memorable moment of the game was in the fourth quarter when referee Walt Coleman made a controversial ruling. It’s the reason why this fixture is also known as the Tuck Rule Game. When only 1:50 seconds were left in the game, Coleman gave the possession back to the Patriots. According to them, Brady was trying to tuck the ball to its body, and hence, the pass was incomplete. In the end, Patriots won the game and also won the Super Bowl XXXVI finals.

Dream Season of NFL 1976

Looking at the current state of the England Patriots, it’s difficult to believe that the team used to be nothing less than a punching bag in the early days of HFL. In the late sixties as well as early seventies, the team lost seven seasons straight, only to witness a turnaround in 1976. They finished the prior season at 3-11 but went straight ahead up to 11-3. They made to the playoffs only for the second time in the team’s history.

In the AFC Divisional round, Ken Stabler and the Raiders were bailed out only because of a controversial roughing the passer call. Oakland went ahead of Patriots and vanished the dreams of their fan base.
