Celtics’ Season Turning Into a Soap Opera

Oh my, where do we start? First and foremost, we have the Can’t Miss Kid, Brad Stevens, a man
who could do no wrong in this town
since he was tapped to be the head coach of the Boston
Celtics in July of 2013 (has it really been that long?). Last season Stevens was considered a front
runner for NBA Coach of the Year but lost to Dwane Casey who was subsequently fired from the
Raptors – if that gives you any indication how tenuous a head coaching job in the NBA is and
how capricious the whims of ownership. But the Celtics have now lost five of six, and for those
who like to bet a few bucks to make it interesting, the Green has failed to cover the number in
four of those six contests. Speaking of covering, if you click over to Sportsbook Review, you can
read a Bookmaker review detailing all the features
of the industry’s leading sportsbook and
what their customers are saying.
Brad Stevens is dealing with more than X’s and O’s at this point which is unchartered territory
for the 42-year-old Indiana native. If the Celtics were a soap opera, the leading man would be
Kyrie Irving because he brings enough drama to fill an hour of programming each day. When
Irving was wooed to Boston, he made a claim that he wanted to remain a Celtic for life and one
day have his jersey retired to the rafters. In Cleveland, he was the Scottie Pippen to LeBron’s
Michael Jordan and he wanted out of the shadows and into the spotlight all by himself.
Be careful what you wish for Kyrie, because not everyone is cut out to fill that role and assume
a leadership position, which allows you to bask in the afterglow of success but demands you
answer to the rabid Boston media throng when things go south. Unfortunately for Kyrie, he was
well-equipped for the former but grossly unprepared for the latter. Boston ain’t Cleveland
when it comes to the fans’ passion for the Celtics, and for that matter the Patriots, Red Sox and
Bruins. It is a fanatical base that demands every spoken word uttered by a superstar be
evaluated, analyzed, and scrutinized by the local television, radio, and print media pundits who
are all too willing to oblige.
Despite the season’s rocky moments, of which there have been far more than anticipated, the
focus was clearly on some of the young guns who performed so admirably in the postseason
without Irving, and of course Gordon Hayward, last year. Jaylen Brown has been the object of
much consternation as his effort has been questioned after going from a starring role last
season to a role player this season. Terry Rozier seems to have his best games when he is
replacing a sidelined Irving and can prove his worth as a full-time starter for any team willing to
pony up the big bucks for his services next year. Gordon Hayward came back as a starter after
suffering a Theismanesque leg snap
in the first game of the 2017 season. He did not perform
like the All-Star he was in Utah and has been primarily relegated to the bench. Unlike some of

his teammates, Gordon has not voiced any dissatisfaction with Steven’s move because to do so
would be to ignore the obvious – he’s just not that max contract guy the C’s signed two years
ago. Not yet anyway.
But the drama surrounding the potential blockbuster deal involving Anthony Davis in the
coming offseason has offended the senses of those who are rumored to be trade bait. Jayson
Tatum is one, as is Jaylen Brown amongst others. Apparently, the young guns never got the
memo that basketball at the professional level is a business, and loyalty is but a whimsical
notion that is abruptly dismissed once a GM realizes he can trade his flashy BMW in for a lusty
Lambo. But Kyrie Irving is the key to the deal because if he decides to take his talents elsewhere
after the season, then the devastating one-two punch of Davis and Irving would be no more.
Based on the reported disconnect that Irving has had with his teammates, outside of Tatum,
since early February when New York was mentioned as a possible landing spot for the superstar
next season, Boston may no longer have Kyrie to kick around anymore.

A Guide to Offshore Betting in the US

For many US states, online sports betting has been off the cards for years, which meant that sports bettors would typically have to travel to Nevada, and more specifically, Las Vegas, to get their sports betting fix. However, with the state of New Jersey pushing the US Supreme Court to overturn the decades old PASPA law, things started to change in 2018.

New Jersey became the first state to offer online gambling and sport betting, which was soon followed by a number of other states including Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia and several others. However, even though PASPA is a thing of the past, and several states have begun to offer online sports betting, things are still moving slow. To make matters worse, you have to be in those states to bet online and, to make sure that happens, your location is tracked and your IP address is verified. This then leaves the vast majority of sports betting resources if you want to bet on sports for real money, in the dark.

Of course, not everyone can travel to New Jersey or Nevada to get some real money betting action going on, so what’s the alternative? For many outside of these states, the only alternative is to look at the somewhat murky world of offshore sports betting. Murky because many are unsure of what the legal ramifications are to sports betting for real money at offshore sites, and murky because how would one know which sites offer legitimate opportunities and which are a scam?

Why Betting Offshore Makes More Sense

Offshore online gambling is not a new phenomenon that just sprang up after the PASA repeal. For years, gamblers in the US have sought to circumvent the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA). This has meant either using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to disguise their IP address, or finding offshore sites such as those licensed out of Costa Rica and Curacao, that were willing to accept US gamblers online.

While there may be some risk involved in gambling offshore, this is largely due to not enough research being done into potential sites, which includes reading in-depth review such as those found on US offshore sports betting resources like OffshoreSportsbooks.com. Provided enough research is performed, and the necessary level of caution and common sense is applied, offshore sports betting can provide an excellent alternative to the currently sluggish US state-based online sports betting options.

There are plenty of offshore sports books with an excellent reputation and track record, that provide top notch online sports betting opportunities across the board. In most cases, the amount of sports betting options and opportunities far exceeds what is currently available at US state-based online sports betting sites. Once you get comfortable with the idea of betting offshore, and have found a suitable, safe and trustworthy site, you may even find that posted odds are superior in most sports, and the chances of clearing significant profits are higher too.

Is Betting Offshore Legal?

This is the million-dollar question that everyone asks at some point. Is it legal to bet online at an offshore sportsbook? The truth of the matter is, at this stage, no one really knows. The overturning of PASPA by the US Supreme Court seems to have only added to the confusion, as no one is sure anymore what is legal and what isn’t.

Essentially, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act made it illegal for anyone to take a bet and process the payment within the United States. However, this does not mean that you can’t place a bet online, as long as the site you’re dealing with is not based within the US. So basically, in a nutshell, you can be a sports bettor online, you just can’t be a bookie.

What Sports Can You Bet on with an Offshore Sportsbook?

As a US sports bettor, you will be very happy to learn that most offshore online sportsbooks will offer plenty of action on all of the sports that you love to bet on. This includes plenty of NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL action. Top offshore sportsbooks will usually give you highly competitive odds on current and upcoming events, and will often include plenty of details as they build up to the events.

Aside from the regular US sports which everyone enjoys betting on, most offshore sportsbooks will also offer a wide array of other sports, including tennis, golf, soccer (the other football), MMA and UFC action, horse racing, dogs and much more. You’ll be able to take advantage of some great sign-up offers, free bets, cashbacks on losses and all sorts of other promo goodies. Signing up is fast, US dollars are accepted, and there are plenty of payment options to suit your specific needs. It just becomes a matter of shopping around to find the best fit for you.

So, What’s the Best Way to Choose a Good Offshore Sports Betting Site?

As the saying goes, there are plenty of ways to skin a cat. Some prefer to go it alone, trying out different offshore sports betting sites until one sticks. However, the obvious drawback to this is that trial and error can be costly, and if you’re on a limited budget, this is simply not a viable option. The more practical, and somewhat safer alternative, is to simply find a reliable and trustworthy offshore sports betting resource.

We mentioned OffshoreSportsbooks.com earlier in this article, and that is a good place to start your journey. The reason why it’s important to go with an online resource like that is so you can find several potential offshore sportsbooks to choose from at one site. There is no need to then run around trying out different ones first. You can read in-depth reviews which go through all the key features including bonuses, number of sports covered, odds and payout speeds, reliability, support and so much more. Be sure to pick a site that is truly independent and that pays for all their own reviews, there are sites out there that are nothing more than sponsored advertising for specific sites.

Celts’ Only Constant is Inconsistency

If you click on over to SBR, and read a Heritage Sports review, you will see why recreational and professional sports bettors always include Heritage as one of their top options when betting sports. But the oddsmakers at Heritage, and other top-notch online books, must be shaking their collective heads when trying to identify an acceptable line on the Boston Celtics. This is a team as enigmatic and mercurial as any in the NBA and Celtics’ fans are feeling the same frustration as those trying to bet with them, or against them.

We see glimmers of hope but then, in a flash, frustration and confusion come to the fore yet again, as it did on Saturday night in Chicago. Boston’s last several games have been a microcosm of the entire season. Talented club with a bona fide superstar, and a few others waiting to blossom, reels off 10 wins in 11 games. After yet another victory, they return home to take on both LA entries within two nights of each other, where the oddsmakers are hanging the Green as double-digit favorites in both contests, and Boston proceeds to lose not one but both. Then, like flicking a light switch, the same team that just laid an egg in consecutive games to inferior opponents travels to Philadelphia to beat one of the preeminent Eastern Conference powers and follows that up with a sound victory over the Pistons.

And despite losing a 98-97 heartbreaker to the Milwaukee Bucks in the following game, we can forgive that road loss against the team with the best record in basketball. But for the luvva gawd what we can’t forgive, or understand, is losing the next game to a team like the Bulls, as 10-point road favorites mind you, contending for the No. 1 pick in the draft by virtue of owning one of the worst records in the league! And to add insult to injury, the Bulls were playing the second leg of back-to-back games, yet the Celtics still bowed 126-116.

Championship caliber teams very rarely fall to the dregs and although they may not cover the number, losing outright is an aberration – a one-off, if that. Even very good teams routinely pad their records against sub .500 clubs like the Bulls, Lakers, Magic, Heat, Suns, et al. Well, not your local entry because Boston has lost to all of those teams which is why their 61.7 winning percentage is good enough to assure them the No. 5 spot in the East but well below preseason expectations. To borrow a term from Kevin Garnett, where’s the grit and balls? Where is the team from last year that took LeBron’s Cavaliers to seven games without Kyrie and Hayward?

Maybe “team” is the operative word. After Saturday night’s loss to the Bulls, Marcus Smart summoned a ray of optimism followed by an expression of the same angst and frustration Celtics’ fans are feeling. “Yeah, we’re good. We’re still in a good position. We’ve got a lot of basketball left. We lost here last year. We got blown out here last year (108-85 in December 2017), and in the end of the season, we were still fighting for everything we wanted to fight for. We still were in the last game of the conference finals. So, this is not the end of the world, but it is embarrassing. It’s embarrassing. Just our effort is embarrassing. How we played is embarrassing.”

When pressed further Smart had this to say, “It’s all simple. It’s just effort. Just effort. That’s definitely it. It’s plain and simple. Just effort…You know, we’ve got all the talent in the world, but you know… I don’t even know what to say. Like, really, I have no words.”

And neither do we.

Will Standing Pat Cost the Celtics?

If you click over to Sportsbook Review, you can find the online sportsbook of your choice. And when you decide which book is right for you, there you will also see that the oddsmakers from all the majors are hanging odds on the Boston Celtics to win the NBA championship at +950. That’s right, the Shamrocks are tied with the Bucks as the third choice, trailing only the Golden State Warriors (-230), and Toronto Raptors (+750). It makes sense, due in large part because the Celtics have owned the 76ers and the Raps appear to be the beasts of the East.

But as the season has progressed the Celtics have sputtered on numerous occasions. Their 37-21 record at the break is good but not breathtaking. Boston has 24 games remaining and questions linger about Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown. Hayward has shown flashes of the All-Star he was in Utah but too often he has been out of sync and overly cautious in his approach. Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown appears to be miffed about being relegated to the bench and often plays as though he wants to take his ball and go home. If there are two reasons why the Celtics are underachieving this season, there they are.

Unfortunately for Boston, their chief rivals were not content to battle with the cohort they put together at the beginning of the season. Philadelphia added Tobias Harris after acquiring Jimmy Butler in November. The Raptors, armed with superstar Kawhi Leonard, added veteran Marc Gasol as a valuable sixth man off the bench. Milwaukee wheeled a deal for veteran point guard George Hill to complement their roster. All the while the Celtics have stood still and watched their Eastern Conference rivals bolster their lineups. Danny Ainge is not the kind of general manager to take a backseat to anyone but making a move, for the sake of making a move, smacks of panic as opposed to a strategic strike.

An NBA scout, speaking on the condition of anonymity with Sports Illustrated, had this to say about Boston’s chances this season. “This team can win the East or get beat in the first round. They have great talent but sometimes they have no chemistry,” the scout told SI. “Kyrie Irving is having one of his best seasons, maybe his best. He’s the same pure scorer and one of the best fourth-quarter closers in the league. But when he gets it going, there is a tendency for everyone to watch him. When they make four or five passes, they are tough to guard.”

And that is pretty much the Celtics in a nutshell. They rely so heavily on the heroics of Kyrie Irving that they pretty much give him the ball, cross their fingers, and hope the rock drops through the hole. The team chemistry that was so evident last season has abandoned this edition and much of it has to do with the young guys, Tatum included, who have lost their soulful, reckless abandon of last year.

However, this group is far from a lost cause. The Celtics are winning nearly 64 percent of their games and have come out on top in 12 of their last 15 games. Hardly the stuff of losers. No, this is a talented team and on paper, they may be the best in the East. But paper doesn’t win games and Gordon Hayward must deliver the goods down the stretch whether he’s coming off the bench or in a starting role. We are nearly three-quarters of the way through the season and he is still not right. But, unlike earlier in the season, Hayward has at least shown signs of brilliance lately. If the Celtics are to contend in the postseason, he will need to turn back the clock to before his gruesome injury and be the player he was as a member of the Jazz.

Will Gronk be Knock, Knock, Knockin’ on Seven’s Door?

After three long, grueling months since Boston won a world championship, the Patriots snapped that drought with their sixth Super Bowl title, all under Tom Brady’s watch. If you’re new to the wonderful world of sports wagering and want to learn how to bet then click on over to Sportsbook Review, and you will find an excellent primer.

The good news is that TB-12 will be back under center to try to take the Patriots to the Promised Land. But the bad news is that New England may be without the services of All-World tight end Rob Gronkowski. The parting will come sooner or later but the verdict is still out on just how much gas Gronk has left in his tank. Until this season, Gronkowski has been as stunning and reliable as a Rolex but cost about as much as a top-of-the-line Timex. It’s been a good deal for Gronk but a great deal for New England.

Yet, this season proved that Father Time is winning the battle over the soon-to-be 30-year-old as all those punishing hits in the past have finally taken their toll in the present. Gronk demonstrated in the team’s Super Bowl victory over the Rams that he can still flash his brilliance when he caught a pass thrown on a dime by Brady to set up the eventual touchdown scored by Sony Michel. He also remains a top-notch blocker, an often-overlooked aspect of what makes him so special and will ultimately see him reside in Canton, amongst all the other greats of the game. When the regular season ended, Gronk tallied 47 receptions for 682 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games. But what many didn’t know was that he had been ailing throughout with a bulging disk in his back and an Achilles injury.

When asked about the punishing position he plays and how he deals with the aches and pains, Gronkowski replied thusly, “To take hits to the thigh, take hits to your head. Abusing your body isn’t what your brain wants. When your body is abused, it can bring down your mood. You’ve got to be able to deal with that, too, throughout the season. You’ve got to be able to deal with that in the games.”

The operative sentence in all of that is, “Abusing your body isn’t what your brain wants,” which essentially means “I am just so sick and tired of being sick and tired.” Gronkowski isn’t the first professional athlete to feel this way and he won’t be the last. But walking away from throngs of fans genuflecting at your altar is not easy. The national, and even international, acclaim is an intoxicant, a dopamine rush that never gets old. But in a few months, Gronkowski will be 30-years-old, an age which generally spells the beginning of the end for professional football players. There is also the reported $9 million salary the Patriots will have to pay on Gronk’s contract if he chooses to return but a number that the Patriots may find untenable.

We should hear sooner than later regarding Gronk’s decision and undoubtedly the Patriots will want to know before the draft. There are three very good tight ends in this year’s NFL meat market, including the Hawkeye tandem of TJ Hockenson (who will most likely be long gone by the time the Pats pick at No. 32) and Noah Fant with Alabama’s Irv Smith completing the triumvirate. If New England does decide to opt for a premier tight end to replace (although there’s no replacing) Gronkowski, then they will most likely expend their first-round pick to get the job done. But until Gronk declares his intentions, the Patriots will wait – while Canton awaits.

What is it that sets The Patriots apart from the rest of the NFL teams

In the middle of December last year the Boston Globe wrote whether it is the end of a dynasty for the Patriots? An unthinkable defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers was what prompted that question. The Boston Globe thought that the 9-5 defeat was an embarrassment to the incomparable record of the Patriots.

The uncharacteristic defeat prompted another Globe writer to ask whether this was the same Patriots team as the previous year. And yet come 3rd February the Patriots had won another Super Bowl for their bulky trophy cabinet. Once again it was their year, as it always is.

The Patriots are touted for another strong season in 2019 as they have retained the shape of their squad. In the last ten years the Patriots’ odds have opened at 10/1 as favourites. They are the bookmakers’ favourites to win the Super Bowl LIV too. Additionally, key players returning from injury will have an added benefit for the team.

Taking this into account the easy availability of NFL Betting odds with a trusted aggregator have got the punters excited ahead of the new season. The aggregator presents various other exciting offers such as free bets on signing on, enhanced odds and betting tips are also available.

The case of Stephen Anderson

You have to look no further than the Patriot’s tight end Stephen Anderson’s view of the massive gap that is there between the Patriots and the rest of the league. He knows that The Patriots are on the top and then comes the rest of the thirty-one teams in NFL. Having played for Houston Texans he has seen the difference in class with his own eyes.

For Houston he played in thirty games and racked up impressive statistics. He caught thirty-six passes for 435 yards two of which were touchdowns. His Patriots’ career however has been jarred with injuries and he hasn’t played a single minute last season. And yet he claims that he has improved many times by just watching quality players like Travis Kelche and Ebron.

Tom Brady’s influence

The most decorated player in the Patriots’ history Tom Brady’s contribution to this team goes beyond what he offers on the pitch. Off it too he is a perfect role model for younger players to look up to. The 41 year old Quarterback has been carrying this team on his shoulder for quite some time now and has won a record six Super Bowl while at it.

Mental strength is what separates a good player from a great player. Brady’s performances were a bit off last year but his professional attitude, and sheer motivation to win pushed this Patriots’ squad towards victory in the Super Bowl LIII.

An inevitable team

The Patriots have retained the size of their squad and on top of that Jeremy Hill’s return from injury will further strengthen them. It might seem like they have found the formula for reaching the Super Bowl final. Their presence in the final has become a norm in recent times.

They seem to have this belief ingrained in them that no matter what they are the best team in the country. It is that sense of inevitability that inspires brilliant performances game after game and year after year.

Patriots Tame the Rams in Super Bowl 53

Tom Brady’s sixth Super Bowl ring shines a bit brighter than all the others, with perhaps the lone exception being his first when he vanquished The Greatest Show on Turf way back in 2002. This year the Pats were supposed to be a dynasty in the throes of decline, a quarterback whose status among the elite passers in the game was in jeopardy, and a team that would be merely a stepping stone for another more talented lot to trounce, on its way to Super Bowl greatness. But nobody counted on Tom Brady and his band of Patriots to have the temerity and talent to brush all of that discourse aside and just go out and win. Oh, and if you haven’t heard, the Patriots did just that as they defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 and took home another Lombardi Trophy.

If you happened to have clicked on over to Sportsbook Review, read a BetOnline review , and then took a peek at what some of the best online sportsbooks were dealing on Super Bowl 53, you would have seen that the oddsmakers at those premier books, like BetOnline, had installed New England as 2 to 2 ½ point favorites and a total that was in the mid to upper 50’s. The very fact that the Pats were favorites proved that despite what the rest of the nation was saying, or perhaps hoping is the operative word, New England was not a predator turned prey but the team to beat…again. And what do you know, they made Jared and the Juggernauts look like Alvin and the Chipmunks as they suffocated the Rams offense and came away the victors of Super Bowl LIII.

However, this time around, unlike their first championship battle with the Rams 17 years ago, nobody outside the six New England states was rooting for the Patriots. Tom Brady had morphed from a sixth-round pick, whose ideal career projection was that of a journeyman quarterback who would be just good enough to hold a clipboard for another more talented, to a living legend. Brady does not simply walk among the greats, he leads them. In the pantheon of legendary NFL players, he is Zeus sitting on a throne of gold with thunder in one hand and lightning in the other. We have run out of superlatives to describe Brady’s sublime passing prowess and command of the offense.

Yet, as extraordinary as he is on the field, he is an impeccable role model off of it. Money doesn’t buy class which is something we’re reminded of almost daily with professional athletes. Tom Brady was born with it and all the fame and fortune he has derived from being the GOAT has not diminished his ability to relate to the fans who ultimately pay to watch him ply his trade. Perhaps the greatest example of his Zen-like demeanor was watching him field questions while Deflategate was at a fever pitch. The questions from the press outside New England were more like accusations, yet he kept his composure and never retreated from his stance nor engaged with inflammatory responses. He was as cool as the other side of the pillow and that’s exactly why he rallied his team against the Falcons in Super Bowl 51 or was able to muster the wherewithal to lead his team to greatness over these last two decades.

Where the Patriots go from here is anyone’s guess but it’s a virtual certainty that Tom Terrific will be back under center, attempting to do it all over again. Hopefully, Gronk will be back and the Patriots’ brass will add a few field-stretching speed merchants in the process. But whatever happens, we’ve all been truly blessed as football fans to witness the greatest to ever grace the gridiron and one whose deportment brings glory to the entire region.

How To Use Sports To Strengthen The Family Bond

The proliferation of mobile and digital technologies has left many families with no time for each other. For many parents, finding time to spend with their families on a busy day is a constant challenge. When family members have no time for each other, they miss on a number of benefits that this could create for the family bond. It is well known that spending time with family can improve self-esteem, nurture positive behavior, reduce stress and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

If you are looking for a way of spending time with your family, you may want to consider sport. Research shows that families that play sport together usually have stronger relationships and they tend to deal with stress in a better way than those that don’t. Make this even more fun by learning how to make a team website for your family and share your family sporting advice with the rest of the world on the internet.

Here are some ways through which you can use sport to strengthen your family bond.

Include everyone

It’s easy to think that children will like what the parents also like. This is not always the case. Hence, if you are planning to use sport as a way of bringing your family together, make sure that you have taken everybody’s interests into consideration.

It’s possible that family members will like different sporting activities. This is good because you can then learn from each other. Learning a new sport can be great fun, especially when you do it as a family.

Set aside time

The one thing that every member of your family is likely to run a shortage of is time. However, if you set the time for family sports in advance and everybody knows it, you can all set your schedules around that time. This may also be a good way of teaching family members how to manage time. They also learn about the importance of making time available for others.

Allow members to participate in their own way

If your idea is to strengthen your family bond through sport, then you don’t want to make anyone feel as if they are being forced to participate. Let everybody understand why you are doing this and get their buy-in.

Where members of the family may not want to participate in the in physical sporting activities, they can do other things. For example, incorporate them as referees. They can be spectators and encourage team members as they play. They could also be coaches if they have some skills.

Encourage participation with variable rewards

Make participation worth everybody’s time by offering rewards for winning teams. There is a gambler in all of us. When people have no idea of what rewards are on offer, they may be motivated to play.

Depending on your resources, find encouraging rewards like a trip to the family’s favorite restaurant if everybody turns up on time for family sports day. Exempt winning teams from doing some chores for certain periods of time. Whatever rewards you decide on, ensure that the whole family agrees on them.

Incorporate sport into routine activities

Instead of traveling together in the family car, you can encourage everybody to cycle together to your destination. This could encourage even those members of the family who believe that they don’t like sports to participate.

Even simple activities like walking the dog can be done as a family. Whatever you do, you want to ensure that the whole family comes together and everybody gets to know each other better.

They Hate us ‘Cause They Ain’t Us

Unless you’re from one of the six New England states and perhaps New Orleans and St. Louis, both of which have their axes to grind with the LA Rams, then you cannot stand the sight of another Patriots Super Bowl. An appearance is bad enough but another ring on Tom Terrific’s finger is a notion too ghastly to imagine. Schadenfreude is deriving pleasure in another’s pain or misfortune, which is something New England fans have become all too adept. If you’re a fan of professional wrestling, Patriots Nation is now the heel, in the eyes of football fans everywhere. We’re the bad guys because we win, and win, then win some more. Although the detractors try to use any excuse or contrivance to diminish the reign of terror that Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have wrought,  these past 18 years, we know that’s just a loose thread on a Patriots’ coat of armor.

Heading into this Super Sunday, we see that some of the best online sportsbooks like BetOnline, found over at Sportsbook Review, are dealing the Pats as 2 ½ point favorites over the stunningly lucky LA Rams. If you’re a homer and bet the Patriots no matter the opponent, the weather conditions, the venue, or the spread then your bet is already made. However, there are others who are Patriots fans, as well as sharp bettors, who don’t blindly back the Pats each and every time they suit up. Oftentimes, those loyal New England fans will pass the game rather than bet the opposition because what fun is making money at the peril of your hometown heroes?

But this time is different. Even the sharpest bettors who also happen to be fans of TB12, the Evil Genius, and the dynasty that Kraft built, are squarely on the side of destiny. Sure, it sounds hokey but there is something about this season that makes it all that much sweeter. The public derision of a dynasty on the precipice, as the rest of the NFL danced with pitchforks and lanterns ready to slay the monster, only to see it rise from its shallow grave and vanquish those who dared to dream New England’s empire was no more.

Self-described pundits like Max “Cliff’ Kellerman, who has repeated ad nauseum that Brady’s decline is imminent, and the fall of the Patriots would soon follow, revealed in each Patriots loss this season as it seemed his premature prophecy (five years premature for that matter), would finally come to fruition. Well then Max, get a load of this. In Brady’s MVP season of a year ago at age 40, he threw for 4577 yards passing, 32 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, a 66.3 completion percentage and a total quarterback rating of 70.6 (remember that number). In 2018, at the decrepit age of 41, Tom Terrific tossed for over 4300 yards passing, 29 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, a 65.8 completion percentage, and a total quarterback rating of…70.6. Yeah, Max, Brady fell right over that cliff and into an eternal abyss. What a crock!

Keep trying haters. Eventually, Brady will act his age but until that day comes, you were wrong way back then, you were wrong this season and you’re gonna be wrong on Sunday. Jared Goff and the Juggernauts will have their day in the sun but right now, the team that refuses to lose is the New England Patriots and they still feel the sting of unfinished business from last season. Tom’s other hand needs a ring and the Patriots’ fans want another title. After all, it’s been over three months since Boston has been without a championship. Haven’t we suffered long enough?

Speech on the Importance of Sports In Our Life

Sport and health are inextricably linked. Modern life in terms of technical progress, with the advent of computers, smartphones, etc., makes it easier for a person to exist, and, consequently, physical activity is sharply reduced. Immobility is the cause of various diseases. Therefore, sports activities have a significant impact on human health. It can be said that sport in modern life is the only available way to satisfy the body’s need for movement and healthy stress. Sport strengthens bones and muscles. Under load, muscles acquire strength and volume, bone mass grows and the skeleton becomes more resistant to stress. When you play sports (jogging, gym, bike, swimming) oxygen nutrition of the muscles improves.

The heart and blood vessels of a person involved in sports are many times more resilient than those of an inactive person. Training loads all human organs, forcing them to work in intensive mode. When moving the muscles need more oxygen. This causes the heart to pump more blood saturated with oxygen through the vessels. According to statistics, the heart in a calm state pumps about five liters of blood per minute. When training, this figure increases.

Organs and muscles during physical exertion need the enhanced supply of oxygen. It makes our respiratory organs work. A person breathes deeper and more intensely, which leads to an increase in lung volume.

Thanks to sports, immunity increases, blood composition improves. When a person gets involved in sports, the number of red blood cells is constantly increasing and the level of lymphocytes rises. People who are physically active rarely get sick, and if they become ill, the body tolerates the disease more easily and copes with it more quickly.

When playing sports the metabolism (metabolism) improves. The difference in metabolic processes in physically active people and people with slow mobility is enormous. In a person engaged in sports, the metabolism is accelerated and more quickly adapted to physical exertion, i.e. Metabolism occurs in an enhanced mode. Working muscles require a lot of energy. During long sessions that are not very intense, the most fat is burnt. A person who is not involved in sports has an excess of admission fats accumulated in the cells. In a physically active person, fat goes to replenish the energy that was spent on training.

Movement is life, and active movement is a healthy life! It is important that, in addition to the benefits of sport, it is a pleasure, and for this, you need to choose the appropriate sport. Each person perceives physical activity in his own way, (which benefits one can harm the other). Sports should begin without “fanaticism,” you should assess your strength and capabilities. Only regular sports can make a difference! It is not necessary to immediately increase the intensity of training: with three classes a week, the load should be increased no more often than once a week.

Today, you can play sports almost everywhere. For those who do not have the opportunity to engage in clubs, there is quite a lot of home gym equipment. And in terms of their functional qualities, they are not inferior to simulators in the hall. Sports are recommended for almost all people, the main thing to remember is that any active form of physical activity is useful only if it fully corresponds to the physiological abilities of a person.

Going in for sports will help you live longer and better. It will also decrease stress and increase your happiness due to the hormones produced when you train. World Health Organization recommends 150 minutes of physical activity per day. Do you meet that goal?
