5 Smartest Football Players

Football Players in Blue Jersey Lined Under Grey White Cloudy Sky during Sunset

One would think being a football player all you need is talent but then this can be proved wrong. They are smart football players who are genius-level intellects and college paper writers who are outstanding when it comes to comparing their brain power and intellectual might. Though it is challenging for an athlete to focus both on their education and sports especially during the season, most athletes receive scholarships in return for their sportsmanship. This is a bit tricky because each one is as important as the other and one cannot miss any of them most especially they cannot miss football practice or a game because their scholarship is based on their great sportsmanship. Even with these kinds of scenarios some athletes have overcome barriers and proven to perform excellently both on the field and in their class work.

John Urschel

This famous Baltimore Ravens player is the first name that comes to mind anytime smart footballers are mentioned. The offensive guard player went to Penn State University and has acquired a bachelors and masters in mathematics. The player who is currently pursuing his Ph.D. had to quit football after three years. He is doing well such that he was already a professor while pursuing his master’s studies and he has published several research papers.

Benjamin Watson

The New Orleans Saints player has a major in Finance. From the University of Georgia he did not only score high in academics he played at the tight end position for his football team and has seen his team win against several big teams. He is a published author and it is said that he has an overly high IQ score. While taken through an intelligence test used to assess prospective employees out of 50 Watson scored a 48 which was more than 20 points higher of an average NFL player. This no doubt puts him among the smart football players.

Myron Rolle

He played college football at Florida while in Florida State University College of medicine then later drafted to the Tennessee Titans team. After his retirement he pursued a degree in Medical Anthropology and aiming higher he is at the Harvard Medical School as a neurosurgery resident.

Ryan Fitzpatrick

This quarterback player is a smart man. This Tampa Bay Buccaneers player has not been academically shy as his academics overshadow his football career. His fast-paced learning will keep him on professional football for long. While being considered one of the smartest athletes he managed and SAT score of 20 points which is perfect and he loves working his intellectual magic with his children.

Richard Sherman

The player was drafted by Seattle Seahawks in 2011 and he plays the cornerback position. After Manuel Dominguez High he proceeded to Stanford University but he is currently playing for the San Francisco 49ers. He has been voted All-Pro, three times with the first team and the fourth time with the current team. Sherman is known for his snappy remarks and he is incredibly smart in academics which is why he is pursuing a master’s degree.

There are many players who have proven that athletic success is as important as an academic success even for thesis helpers. Football is a social and economic development activity which promotes self-esteem, teamwork, and peace. Football has a unifying power while educational success is as important as a football career. Success can be well rounded for football players and it means even after retirement due to unavoidable circumstances they can move on with their professional careers.

Trent Frederic

A memorable Debut For Trent Frederic

Last night Trent Frederic made his NHL debut, and less than two periods into his NHL career became a fan favorite. There are fewer ways to win over the Bruins fan base than a good- old fashioned hockey fight, and Frederic did just that. The rookie dropped the gloves with Branden Tanev towards the end of the second period. It was a memorable debut for a prospect with high expectations.

The Bruins selected Frederic in the first round of the 2016 NHL draft. Before Frederic’s promotion, he was enjoying a solid season in Providence with ten goals and seven assists. The former Wisconsin Badger is not projected to be an electrifying top- line center. He does, however, bring value to the Bruins with his physical style of play. He is a bruising two-way center that should be able to make a living on the second or third line.

While Frederic’s stay could be brief, he showed why he could become a Garden favorite for years to come. Against Winnipeg, Frederic made it clear that he will not back down from any challenge. This is a quality that Bruins have seemed to lack so far this season. He has also improved offensively after struggling in previous oppurtunites.

With a chance at securing a roster spot on the third line in training camp, Frederic failed to seize to secure a roster spot. As a result, he began the season in Providence in order to refine his game. The improvement was evident, especially over last weekend. Before being called up, Frederic was able to record a two-goal, two-assist weekend. In thirty-seven games for Providence he was a plus four player.

Alongside his childhood hero, David Backes, Frederic showed many positives. In the face-off dot, he went 4-7 and was able to land two shots on net. The former Badger was strong on the puck and landed two hits. While he didn’t light up the stat sheet, Frederic impacted the game in many other ways.

With the trade deadline looming getting a look at Frederic will be key as the Bruins look at their options. He brings a punch to the Bruins third line that they have lacked all season. While he still has a lot to learn, last night was an impressive debut for a Bruins prospect with a bright future.

They Hate us ‘Cause They Ain’t Us

Unless you’re from one of the six New England states and perhaps New Orleans and St. Louis, both of which have their axes to grind with the LA Rams, then you cannot stand the sight of another Patriots Super Bowl. An appearance is bad enough but another ring on Tom Terrific’s finger is a notion too ghastly to imagine. Schadenfreude is deriving pleasure in another’s pain or misfortune, which is something New England fans have become all too adept. If you’re a fan of professional wrestling, Patriots Nation is now the heel, in the eyes of football fans everywhere. We’re the bad guys because we win, and win, then win some more. Although the detractors try to use any excuse or contrivance to diminish the reign of terror that Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have wrought,  these past 18 years, we know that’s just a loose thread on a Patriots’ coat of armor.

Heading into this Super Sunday, we see that some of the best online sportsbooks like BetOnline, found over at Sportsbook Review, are dealing the Pats as 2 ½ point favorites over the stunningly lucky LA Rams. If you’re a homer and bet the Patriots no matter the opponent, the weather conditions, the venue, or the spread then your bet is already made. However, there are others who are Patriots fans, as well as sharp bettors, who don’t blindly back the Pats each and every time they suit up. Oftentimes, those loyal New England fans will pass the game rather than bet the opposition because what fun is making money at the peril of your hometown heroes?

But this time is different. Even the sharpest bettors who also happen to be fans of TB12, the Evil Genius, and the dynasty that Kraft built, are squarely on the side of destiny. Sure, it sounds hokey but there is something about this season that makes it all that much sweeter. The public derision of a dynasty on the precipice, as the rest of the NFL danced with pitchforks and lanterns ready to slay the monster, only to see it rise from its shallow grave and vanquish those who dared to dream New England’s empire was no more.

Self-described pundits like Max “Cliff’ Kellerman, who has repeated ad nauseum that Brady’s decline is imminent, and the fall of the Patriots would soon follow, revealed in each Patriots loss this season as it seemed his premature prophecy (five years premature for that matter), would finally come to fruition. Well then Max, get a load of this. In Brady’s MVP season of a year ago at age 40, he threw for 4577 yards passing, 32 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, a 66.3 completion percentage and a total quarterback rating of 70.6 (remember that number). In 2018, at the decrepit age of 41, Tom Terrific tossed for over 4300 yards passing, 29 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, a 65.8 completion percentage, and a total quarterback rating of…70.6. Yeah, Max, Brady fell right over that cliff and into an eternal abyss. What a crock!

Keep trying haters. Eventually, Brady will act his age but until that day comes, you were wrong way back then, you were wrong this season and you’re gonna be wrong on Sunday. Jared Goff and the Juggernauts will have their day in the sun but right now, the team that refuses to lose is the New England Patriots and they still feel the sting of unfinished business from last season. Tom’s other hand needs a ring and the Patriots’ fans want another title. After all, it’s been over three months since Boston has been without a championship. Haven’t we suffered long enough?

The X-Factors of Super Bowl 53

From Malcolm Butler to David Tyree to Tracy Porter, Super Bowls are often home to small time players making gargantuan plays. Butler’s pick, Tyree’s catch (that shouldn’t have been a catch if the referees called ‘in-the-grasp’ on Manning before the throw, but water under the bridge), and Porter’s pick-six on Peyton Manning are some of the many examples of this. These are the players that don’t get an entire segment dedicated to them on NFL Network. They don’t get the most popular podium on Opening Night, or even any podium for that matter. But, these players, or X-factors, are more often than not the heroes of the Super Bowl.

The Patriots and Rams are both star-studded on either side of the ball. Names like: Aaron Donald, Julian Edelman, Todd Gurley, Stephon Gilmore are just a few of the Pro-Bowlers on both rosters. Players of this caliber are expected to show up, have a big game, and be in the running for Super Bowl MVP.

However, every so often, a player on the bottom of the depth chart comes out of nowhere. They come off the bench and can either be the hero or the villain who isn’t welcomed back into the city afterwards. This is usually the difference between a team winning and a team losing. There are of course blowout games like Super Bowl 48 where Seattle didn’t need any depth players to come through. Although, as Patriots fans, we know to not expect a blowout in the Super Bowl. X-factors will be needed in this Super Bowl for both teams, the question is who are these players?

Will another Malcolm Butler type player show up in Super Bowl 53?

Here’s a list of some of the potential X-factors for both teams that could shape how this game turns out:

Rex Burkhead, RB Patriots

Off the bat, you may think Burkhead doesn’t fit the description of an X-factor. He is of course coming off a two touchdown game against the Chiefs in the title game. However, when you take a closer look at that game, Burkhead didn’t play so well. He had 41 yards on 12 attempts and was stopped on a crucial fourth down in the fourth quarter. It wasn’t until the end of the game where Rex really began to break through with the two TD runs.

Against the Rams, expect Sony Michel to get a majority of the touches when the Patriots are in the “I” formation and when Tom Brady goes under center. The Patriots have had a lot of success with Michel in these packages the past few games and shouldn’t deviate too much. James White will once again be the primary third down back, being more of a receiver than runner.

So where does that leave Burkhead? In the past, he has been used either when Michel needed a break or in specific circumstances. He won’t get the number of touches that Michel will, but it’s what he can do with his touches that make him an X-factor. The Rams will be prepared for Michel’s style of running and should have a plan in place to stop him. If Burkhead can come in with some different looks on offense and gain chunks of yards, that will be a huge difference in how the Patriots offense runs.

Rex Burkhead scored two go-ahead touchdowns in the AFC title game and needs to replicate that performance to set up the Patriots offense.

Josh Reynolds, WR Rams

Los Angeles has quietly one of the best wide receiver tandems in the NFL with Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks. Cooks, as most Patriots fans know, is incredibly fast and a legitimate deep threat. Woods is a terrific complement to Cooks with the way he’s able to get separation in the slot, similar to Edelman. New England should have a similar gameplan in place to deal with Cooks as they did with Tyreek Hill. One cornerback lined up with Cooks with immediate safety help over the top is the look I would expect. With Woods, Stephon Gilmore should be able to shadow him effectively.

Next on the Rams depth chart: Josh Reynolds. Reynolds hasn’t had a monster year, garnering just over 400 yards, but it’s not his stats that are worrisome. He stands at 6’3″ and will likely not be given a whole lot of attention compared to the other two LA receivers. 4 years ago in Super Bowl 49, New England faced a similar threat in Chris Matthews. He was third or fourth on Seattle’s depth chart but made play after play thanks to his height and Kyle Arrington covering him.

Jason McCourty or J.C. Jackson will likely draw the responsibility of guarding Reynolds. Jared Goff has been trusting him more and more this postseason and if he has a big game, it could spell disaster for New England.

Samson Ebukam, LB Rams

Linebacker isn’t one of the Rams strongest positions on the defensive side. Pro-Bowler (for special teams) Cory Littleton is their best linebacker, but other than that there’s not too much overflowing talent. However, one of Tom Brady’s weakest points in his game is his inability at times to see the cover linebacker. Last week in the AFC title game he threw a pick directly to linebacker Reggie Ragland in the endzone. In Super Bowl 49 Bobby Wagner intercepted Brady and two weeks before in the AFC title game D’Qwell Jackson jumped in front of a ball meant for Gronk (which started Deflategate).

Samson Ebukam is an outside, cover linebacker for the Rams that nearly picked off Dak Prescott in the Divisional round. He has multiple touchdowns on the year, two against Kansas City, and is very quick moving. Given the right situation, he has the potential to cause Brady some trouble with Wade Phillips calling the plays.

Samson Ebukam has a couple of interceptions on the season so Tom Brady will need to be on the lookout for number 50.

Deatrich Wise Jr. or Adrian Clayborn, DE Patriots

So far in the postseason Deatrich Wise Jr. has been inactive. Against the Chargers he had a nagging ankle injury but he was a healthy scratch for the AFC title game. Adrian Clayborn got the nod over him and played decent, but didn’t make any spectacular plays.

In order for the Patriots to keep having the pass rush success they’ve been having, they need to get more productivity from the other DE position. Trey Flowers can’t do it all by himself, even though at times he seems like he can. Whoever is active between the two, because its been one or the other thus far, needs to get to Goff. He isn’t a running quarterback so there should be no excuse for not pressuring him.

Rushing the passer is the main reason the Patriots have had so much success on defense this postseason. If they want to take home the Lombardi, they will need to find a way past the Rams offensive line. Accomplish that, and L.A. head coach Sean McVay will be sweating in his khakis.

The Result No One Expected Not Even Tom Brady

Tom Brady entered Super Bowl LII against the Philadelphia Eagles coming off one of the best seasons in his hall of fame career. Just seizing his third MVP trophy and on the verge of his sixth super bowl ring. Then on February 4th, 2018 the world came collapsing around Brady and the Patriots. Despite throwing for over five hundred yards Tom Brady saw his chance at another Super Bowl ring slip right through his fingers. As Nick Foles hoisted the Lombardy trophy controversy surrounded the Patriots following the benching of number one corner Malcolm Butler. During the legendary dynasty of the Patriots there have been devastating losses but none had eve felt like this one did, this loss cut deep.

The offseason only validated the divide inside of the walls of Gillete Stadium. Thirty one of thirty two quarterbacks showed up for voluntary passing camp and OTAS the only one who did not Tom Brady. The once brushed aside story of a crack in the foundation of the Patriots dynasty had become a reality. Belichick and Brady very much seemed at odds as Bill traded away Brandon Cooks, and let one of Brady’s most reliable targets in Danny Amendola walk away in free agency. As the season came along it was hard not to think that the dynasty was coming to a close.

Tom Brady was quoted saying that “this team needs a great quarterback”. The question however remained could the aging legend still be a great quarterback? For much of the regular season Brady looked like a 41 year old quarterback. He seemed slow on his reads, he was not stepping into his throws the way he use to, and was ducking out of throws to avoid contact even when it was not imminent. Brady finished the season with 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions on route to leading the Patriots to an 11-5 record. The team appeared to be mentally soft going 3-5 on the road. Losing to the dreads of the league in the Lions, Jaguars, and Dolphins. With a home divisional game against the 12-4 Chargers around the corner the Patriots appeared to be in danger of a first round exit.

As the Patriots walked out of the tunnels onto the turf of Gillete Stadium in front of a sold out crowd it was hard not to remember what Brady said about this team “it needs a great quarterback”. That statement remained true and despite an up and down season Brady came out of the tunnel with one goal. To be the best player on the field for the next sixty minutes. The Patriots went onto to embarrass the Chargers jumping out to a 35-7 halftime lead. They became the first team to score a touchdown on its first four offensive drives in a postseason game. After the Patriots 41-28 playoff win Brady stood on the field during a postgame interview with CBS letting the world know that the Patriots heard the noise. Brady embraced the underdog roll saying “I know everyone thinks we suck, and can’t win any games,”. What lied ahead was a trip to Arrowhead stadium to face the prolific Chiefs offense and rookie sensation Patrick Mahomes. a game that everyone expect the Patriots thought they would lose.

Following a season where the Patriots had proven they could not win on the road consistently. Winning a game in the most hostile environment in the NFL seemed all but impossible. Tom Brady showed everyone once again why picking against him is asking for trouble. Leading his less talented roster to an overtime victory and a chance at redemption. Converting three consecutive third down throws setting up Rex Burkhead’s eventual walk off touchdown. 364 days filled with drama and controversy. 364 days of thinking about the one title that got away.

The Patriots and Tom Brady will have a chance to play for the Lombardi trophy against the Rams exactly nineteen years after winning their first one. No one can predict what will happen on Sunday. But if the Rams are going to win this game they are going to have to give up their lives. Since Brady has giving up his already.

The Greatest Red Sox Legends by Uniform Number: 71+

For the final article in my series of the greatest Red Sox players to wear each uniform number, I will cover the numbers 71 and higher. This one will get a little weird, with guys who didn’t play much wearing the number or still haven’t played much. However, they are all recent guys and have made some sort of contribution at least, so I didn’t want to leave them out. Many numbers up this high have never been worn, and a few others have only had one guy wear them.

Number 71 – Austin Maddox

Maddox didn’t pitch long with the Red Sox, but he was great while he did. He spent three separate stints with the big club in 2017, with the longest coming in September. He impressed so much he was included on the postseason roster.

Maddox allowed just one run over 17.1 innings pitched in 2017. He struck out 14, allowed just 13 hits and walked only two. In seven of his 13 outings he was called upon to get more than three outs.

Unfortunately, Maddox was hurt almost the entire 2018 season, never coming close to returning to Boston. He faces an uphill battle to be with the team this season.

Number 72 – Xander Bogaerts

Before he wore the number 2, Bogaerts was number 72 when called up to the roster in 2013. Having to pay his dues and earn the right to grab a lower number, Bogaerts showed enough that September that he was placed on the postseason roster.

In September of 2013, Bogaerts hit .250 with a home run and a stolen base. The newly turned 21 year old impressed further in the playoffs. In the ALCS against Detroit he was three for six at the plate with three doubles and three walks. He showed more patience that October than he showed for a while afterwards. His play wasn’t as good in the World Series, but he still contributed five hits, including a triple. In total, he was 8-27 with six walks that postseason.

Number 73 – Tzu-Wei Lin

Tzu-Wei Lin wore the number 73 in 2017, his first year in the bigs. He was with the Red Sox for almost a month in the summer, then came back up in September. While with the team, he played some good infield defense and showed an ability to get on base.

Lin made just one error over 25 games divided between second base, shortstop and third base. He also had a very solid .369 on-base percentage that season over 66 plate appearances. Lin doesn’t have much power, but did hit two triples in his limited time in Boston. This past season, Lin wore a different number while with Boston.

Number 76 – Hector Velazquez

Skipping a couple numbers here to get to an underrated member of the Red Sox, Hector Velazquez. He has relieved and started during his time in Boston, but no matter what he’s doing, he just seems to win.

Velazquez has a 10-3 record over his two seasons in Boston so far. He has made 11 starts and 44 relief appearances in that time. His first outing in 2017 didn’t go that well, but he was rock solid from then on. After taking a loss in his first game, opponents batted just .176 the rest of 2017 against Velazquez, as he went 3-0 with a 0.92 ERA.

In 2018, he started in his first appearance and pitched great. After being bumped to the bullpen, he made another spot start and was solid again. Despite bouncing back and forth between the rotation and the bullpen, Velazquez finished the season 7-3 with a 3.18 ERA over 85 innings. He is one of the most underappreciated players on the team.

Number 77 – Pedro Ciriaco

Ciriaco spent parts of two seasons with the Red Sox, wearing number 77 during his first season. This fits perfectly for the purposes of this article, since Ciriaco did well in 2012 wearing 77. The following season, he did not fare well while wearing number 23.

Ciriaco played a lot during that miserable 2012 season for the Red Sox. Ciriaco played every position except for first base and catcher that season. He batted .293 over 259 at-bats. Although he rarely drew a walk, he gave them a good utility player over the season. Ciriaco also stole 16 bases in 19 tries.

Number 91 – Alfredo Aceves

A big jump up to the number 91. Some other numbers were briefly worn, but no one made enough of an impact.

Despite going 14-1 with a 3.21 ERA over parts of three seasons with the Yankees, the Yankees let Aceves go after 2010. He continued his excellent run into 2011 with the Red Sox. Aceves made 55 appearances, four of them starts in 2011, going 10-2 with a 2.61 ERA and two saves. His 1.10 WHIP backed up his success. He was 24-3 lifetime at this point in time.

Aceves never found that success again. He actually closed on the lousy 2012 Red Sox, but did not fare well. Aceves saved 25 games, but also lost 10 and posted a 5.36 ERA. Back again in 2013, Aceves went 4-1 but had a 4.86 ERA. However, his first season in Boston was good enough that his ERA in Boston remained under 4.00 while posting a winning record.

Takeaways from Opening Night

The Patriots are Loose

Opening night at the Super Bowl is the new Media Day. Both teams have an hour to speak to all the media throughout the world. They are asked questions about everything from the game to their favorite food. The Rams were first and they just seem happy to be there. I don’t see that desire they want it bad enough like the Patriots do. Jared Goff looks caught up in the moment and so does head coach Sean McVay. They were introduced individually while the Patriots were introduced as a team. Remember in Super Bowl XXXVI the Patriots started the custom of being introduced as a team.

The Patriots are ready to play on Sunday

The Patriots look loose and ready to go. Rob Gronkowski was dancing before being introduced, which could be his last time at opening night. They all seemed relaxed and not caught up in the moment. Bill Belichick was dressed in a suit proving that this is a business trip and there’s still work to do on Sunday. Devin McCourty hinted that he could retire after the Super Bowl after winning with his brother, there’s really nothing else that would top that. Brady loves the haters saying “What do we do about the haters? We love ‘em, We love them back because we don’t hate back. We appreciate it, we love them, and we wish them the best in their life.”

This is nothing new to this Patriots team which gives them the edge. Also, this is a home game for them. Tom Brady got the biggest ovation from the crowd and Jared Goff looked nervous sitting right next to him. Brady wasn’t about to give Goff any advice for being in his first Super Bowl. Goff was only seven when the Patriots won back in 2002. Aquib Talib and Tom Brady joked about when Talib was in at receiver one time during practice.

The Patriots don’t care too much what people think or say. They just show up and perform on the field on Sunday. But the Rams look uptight while the Patriots look loose and ready to go.

Top Casino Mistakes You Are Making and How to Stop

There are various reasons why people go to casinos. Some people go to get entertained and to pass the time, while others go to make money. Between the two, a good number of people who go to the casinos usually go for the primary purpose of making money. However, there are certain things they do while that end up not making them the amount of money that anticipated making. If you want to better your game and become a good gambler, you have to learn about these mistakes that people make and how to avoid them so that the next time you hit the slot machines, you have everything going well for you. Here is a look at some of the top casino mistakes you have been making and how to stop them

Playing without learning the rules

The first mistake is an obvious one, and this is when people go to the casinos and start playing without knowing any rules to the game. Essentially, what you’re doing is to simply tell the casino to take your money and make you broke. Before you start playing any game in the casino, you must learn all the rules and ensure that you understand all of them so that when the game begins, you’re not in any disadvantaged position. Therefore, before you’re tempted to play any game, ensure that the first thing you do is to understand the rules.

Not using the online casino tips

Online casinos are fond of giving players tips as the game progresses. However, a good number of people never collect these tips and use them as part of the gambling money. It is common that during gameplay, you will say windows pop up on your screen and force most people, they will simply close the windows without having a cleaner look at them. This is how the end up missing out on the tips that the casino is offering them. The next time before you close a pop-up window while playing online, be sure to scan through and see if it all you’ve been offered any tips during the game. The tips may not be a lot of money, but any other map, they are can make some good guy.

Not taking advantage of free bonuses

Just like with the tips, most online casino players never take advantage of the free bonuses that come their way. Some of them may sound too good to be true, but this does not mean that you should not check them out. What you only have to do is be sure to read understand the terms under which the free bonus will be given. Some will have very tough rules which may be very difficult to attain, but some will be relatively easy to attain and for such, you can always go for them straight away. Therefore, the next time you see free bonuses, be sure to check them out and see if it’s something you can hit and used to increase the chances of winning.

Not having a limit

Gambling without having limits is the number one reason why thousands of people go broke every day in the online casinos. When you have no limits, it simply means that you’re willing to spend even what you don’t have. It is important to become a disciplined gambler and know the amount of money you’re willing to spend per session. You should also be wise enough to know when you are spending way too much than what you had planned for and when it is time to go home. Remember, if you gamble everything today and lose, you will not have anything to gamble tomorrow. Besides, there are real consequences that come without gambling without limits. Make it a habit to have very clear limits on gambling so that you can control your cash and most importantly so that you control the losses you may make. Even if you were to play in the best New Zealand casinos and you decide to not have any limits, the odds will always be against you.

Starting with real bets

Most people are usually eager to make a lot of money in the online casinos and as such, they start playing with real money straight away. However, this has not always been a good idea because this is the group of people that end up losing a lot of money. There’s a reason why virtual money is always available in most of the casinos. This is simply to let you try out with fake cash so that you simulate and know how the experience will be when real money is on the line. Always took advantage of the free money because it’s a good chance to help you sharpen your skills and learn the rules of the games.

Betting on unlicensed sites

It is also sad to note that a good number of players at this time and age steal can afford to play in unlicensed sites. This is very dangerous because there are so many dangers that you can run into when playing in unregulated sites. The first one and perhaps the most obvious one is that you’re likely to lose a lot of money. These sites are set up in such a manner that they are prepared to rip you off with every chance they get. And since they’re not regulated, there’s nowhere you will complain to, and once you lose your money you can say goodbye to it forever. Therefore, it is important to check out the sites you play your casino games in and be sure that they are regulated and properly licensed to offer casino games.

These tips should be sufficient to keep you safe when you enjoy your games online. Always be aware of the mistakes and do everything possible to ensure that you don’t make moves that may undermine your playing experience or chances of winning. Use them to become a responsible gambler.

How to Get Your Other Half Interested in Football

Are you a sports fanatic? Is football your game of choice and you just can’t seem to stop talking about it, watching it, and even playing it? If that’s the case, you can count yourself among the millions of other people who share that exact same passion. So, what happens if your love of football isn’t exactly blooming in your significant other? Does this mean you have to pursue this hobby and passion all on your own and not include them?

Perhaps the solution lies in your approach, as there are a number of ways that you can get your other half interested in football so the two of you can start enjoying the sport together. Let’s take a closer look.

Educate Your Partner on the Basics

Sometimes it’s not about not liking the game of football, rather it is about not understanding the game that is the real issue. Perhaps your significant other just doesn’t really understand the rules and purpose of the game. If that’s the case it’s hard to show an interest in the sport.

This is when a beginner’s crash course to football can be extremely helpful. You don’t have to go into every intricate rule of play, rather just cover the basics so that your partner can watch a game and understand for the most part what is going on.

You can even educate them on the origins of the sport, which began in England in 1863.

Encourage Your Partner to Pick a Favourite Team

Another tip is to encourage your significant other to pick a favourite team. If they don’t know much about the sport or the various teams, they may just pick the team you root for. Once they have a favourite team, why not set them up with a little fan gear? Fan gear always makes the sport more fun, and helps a person to feel more involved and engaged. Items like football shirts, scarves, hats, and t-shirts are always a great place to start.

It can also be fun to track how the team is doing, especially if your partner is a numbers and stats kind of person.

Invest a Little Money in the Game

Of course, you can always amp up the level of excitement during the game by taking part in sports betting. Online sports betting sites such as playsugarhouse.com offer the best sports bets online and a user-friendly customer experience. Even if you and your partner don’t have much experience with sports betting, the site is set up in such a way that it’s simple and easy to navigate, allowing you to play your bets with ease.

Keep the Sports Viewing Time to a Limit

Finally, you want to be sure that you keep the amount of sports viewing time to a limit. While your significant other may not mind watching a game with you, and even enjoy it, the full football Sunday is a bit much unless you are a diehard fan.

Let the Interest Grow Over Time

It’s important to keep in mind that even when using these tips, your significant other’s interest in football is something that may take time, and can even grow over time. Try not to get impatient or push your interest on them, as it’s best to let them come around in their own time.
