7 Reasons Why Football is the King of Sports!

Sports freak continuously debate about football being the best sport in the world. Well, I’m also one of those crazy football fans which is why I’am writing this article to let you all know why football is the king of all sports and why audience in football matches is as restless as the crowd at Time Square on New Year’s Eve waiting for the ball drop.

Football – a global game which sends chills running down everyone’s spine – simply because football leagues have brought nations together by allowing players from different countries to join hands in the spirit of sportsmanship. Here are seven reasons why football is the best game in this whole wide world and we love it for being as amazing:

1. No Age Limit:

Every primary American professional sport requires athletes to be of a certain age to play. Like, NFL requires all of their players to be three years out of the high school in order to get into NFL draft. Whereas NBA players have to be a year out from high school in order to get into the drafting.

But this is not the case with football, there is no certain age limit to get into the football field. If the coach thinks the player is good enough to take the pitch, they throw him out on the field. A very prominent and most recent example is that of Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling and Southampton’s Luke Shaw. Both the players debuted at the age of 17 and left the audience in complete awe with their spectacular performance.

If either of them were to get into American Football or Basketball team, they wouldn’t have been able to play until they were 19. So, yeah! Football is the king of all sports!

2. The sport doesn’t stop:

Yeah, this particular sport doesn’t stop whether it’s raining or hailing. The party goes on. Football keeps invigorating the enthusiastic spirit of players even in crazy weather because tailgating is all about keeping the party rolling.

3. Strategic Game:

Football is often compared to Chess as the game requires a great deal of planning – a properly optimized strategy is necessary to ensure an upper hand over the opposing team. All fans tend to think they can coach those playing a game of football but that is quite an illogical and imprudent thing to say. The process of coaching requires every little move of the opponent to be understood and taken into consideration in order to devise a counter strategy. And football requires a great level of strategic planning backed by a proper thought process far more critically than any other sport.

4. FIFA Video game:

It’s essentially the craze of football which has made the FIFA video game a massive hit and a million-dollar industry. The sport has given birth to the trend of all-nighters, glued to their armchairs, playing tournaments across the globe to compete in international gaming events online. Football isn’t a hobby anymore rather has become a passion for millions around the globe.

Playing FIFA online however requires a strong internet connection with a stable ping and fast speeds. But that should not be much of a concern since now you can get the best of the internet through Local Cable Deals. They will ensure reliability besides providing you with options for the highest of all speeds. They offer services from big names among the internet and cable service providers like Xfinity, Cox, Mediacom, Spectrum, etc.

5. Historic Football Stadiums:

American history isn’t as rich as that of the Europeans. Nor does the country boast any historic football stadiums, rather stadiums are generally newly built and modern in style. Historic football stadiums are more so found across Europe and hold special significance for football fans. A few of the major and rather old football stadiums include Anfield, Maracana, Azteca, Bernabeu, Camp Nou, and Old Trafford. Many major matches have been conducted in these fields eversince – legends have played here and inspired masses with their spectacular performances. Every time a football fanatic steps into these fields they feel a natural sense of love for the game swell and the spirit of the game rise within them. They are over-taken by awe and a spirit that one cannot experience by just sitting across their television screens.

Largely speaking American football fields don’t last more than 40 years because of a system of sports franchises and the competition among them.

6. Instability of the managers:

The managerial positions in the world of football are extremely unstable. They are considered to be one of the hardest jobs in the sports industry. It is observed managers do not last more than three years in a club because of high expectations and demands of club owners. Chelsea is the most infamous club in this regard and has sacked several managers in the past decade. The Spanish club Real Madrid has also switched eleven managers since the turn of the century. In football, it’s not the players who lose credibility and job rather their managers.

7. Continental competitions:

Teams from every continent where football is played compete against each other to achieve the title of the Best Club of the Continent. UEFA Champions League is the most famous competition of all. But there are other great continental companionships also. In fact competitions conducted in North America, Africa, and Asia are also called the Champions League. CONMEBOL’s Copa Libertadores is the only continental competition not known as a Champions league. These continental leagues display such strong rivalries that are rarely witnessed in any other sport.

The aforementioned seven reasons tend to tell football is not just a game rather a passion which involves millions and millions every where – and that is what essentially makes it the undisputed king of all sports!

RED SOX – BLUE JAYS SERIES PREVIEW

Things did not go exactly to plan for the Red Sox in the series against the Dodgers. They got off to a great start winning the first game, but could not pull out the extra innings game on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. Losing to the Dodgers was a massive blow, but not exactly an unexpected one. Avoiding being swept was extremely important, and the fight they demonstrated against arguably the best team in baseball will carry them into the second half feeling good.

7/15 Rick Porcello vs. Trent Thornton (R) 7:10 pm NESN

7/16 Andrew Cashner vs. TBD 7:10 pm NESN

7/17 Eduardo Rodriguez vs. Aaron Sanchez (R) 7:10 pm ESPN

7/18 Chris Sale vs. Clayton Richard (L) 1:05 pm ESPN

NOTABLE NUMBERS

PITCHERS

The obvious name to look at here is brand new Red Sox Andrew Cashner. He comes to the Sox with a more than respectable 3.85 ERA this season. However, a large part of that has been his impressive 3.47 ERA at home in Camden Yards. Can he now bring that home form to the Red Sox? In his career, he has only started two games in Fenway Park, allowing eight earned runs in 10 innings pitched. Not exactly a favorable record, but given the small sample size, it is not a disaster situation either.

It bears repeating just how Trent Thornton has been on the road this season. His 3.60 road ERA is only that high because the Yankees took a liking to him in his last road start. Last time in Fenway he went toe-to-toe with Sale and came away with a ton of respect. This time against Porcello he could be the pitcher who gets this series off to a terrible start for the Red Sox.

Sanchez’s road form is in stark contrast to that of Thornton. Sanchez has a 6.79 ERA on the road this season, with a .306 batting average against. Richard has also struggled on the road, with a 5.29 ERA. Finishing the series against those two pitchers should be a great way for the Red Sox to round out the series.

HITTERS

The Red Sox have struggled to get any production this season out of the right side of their infield. The first base position has hit just .235, and second base just .252. Combined they have accounted for just 28 home runs. In contrast, the left side of the infield has hit over .300 at both positions, with 37 home runs. Given that first base is supposed to be one of your better hitters, that is somewhat of a disaster for the Red Sox.

The Blue Jays hitting has gradually improved throughout the season. In March/April and May, they hit under .240 with a combined 68 home runs. In June and the first half of July, they’re hitting a combined .250 with 60 home runs. The Red Sox pitching needs to be aware that the Blue Jays offense is a different one from earlier in the year and treat it as such.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Pitching: All eyes will be on Andrew Cashner. He has been acquired with a view to providing some right-handed depth in their rotation. The Red Sox will be keen to see how he starts his time with them, having lacked quality right-handed options due to the injuries to Nathan Eovaldi and the poor performances of Porcello.

Hitting: I mentioned the struggles of the right side of the Red Sox infield above. The Red Sox will be hoping to get a boost later in the year when their platoon of Mitch Moreland and Steve Pearce return. That will allow them to use Michael Chavis as a utility man on the infield. Chavis is another hitter they would like to see get his mojo back in this series, having registered a solitary hit in the Dodgers series.

EXPECTATIONS

The Dodgers loss will hurt, but it will was not entirely unexpected. The Red Sox will be aware these are the sort of series they have to win 3-1 or 4-0 if they are to stay in the race for the division.

There will be challenges in this series. Thornton is tough, and panic could set in if he leads the Blue Jays to a first-game victory. However, with a weak back end for the Blue Jays pitching in this series, the Red Sox will likely have a strong series against a mediocre Blue Jays team.

Why the Danton Heinen signing is great for the Boston Bruins

On Monday the Boston Bruins announced the signing of forward Danton Heinen to a two year 2.8 million dollar deal. Despite the rather confusing outrage from the Bruins fanbase, the signing came rather cheap. Lets take a look at the a few of the important details before we make permanent judgements on the deal.

Short track record

Despite already having two full years of NHL experience, Danton Heinen is only 24 years old. He’s shown signs of being a very good, playmaking goal scorer. Some of his talent is raw and untouched, but he’s by no means a virgin on the highlight reel. When Danton Heinen is on the ice, good things happen.

One issue that comes with being young and versatile on a team like this Boston Bruins team, run by Bruce Cassidy, is that its hard to find fulltime line mates. If Heinen can get a full season as a member of the Boston Bruins second line I think his numbers will jump drastically. Heinen’s best season came one season ago in the 2017-2018 campaign. Danton played 77 games and accounted for 47 points, 16 goals and 31 assists. While the numbers don’t jump off the page, its shows that he’s more than a one trick pony.

One more thing to take note is that 12 of those points came on the power play. While its easy to say that its always easier to score on the power play, having an impact on the power play for a team who depends on it as much as this Boston Bruins team is certainly a way top get you to stick around for a while.

How does the deal compare to the rest?

If you compare the money of Danton Heinen’s contract to the other contracts that are similar, there is absolutely nothing to worry about with this deal. All but two players with a contact that is comparable are older than Heinen, and all but two are within 10 points of Heinen’s deal. Heinen also has the highest plus minus rating of all comparable deals. That stat goes right back to my point that good things happen when he’s on the ice.

Stability for top lines

I mentioned here that the Bruins have a bit of a depth issue on the wings. Heinen provides two more years of top nine forward stability for a team that desperately needs it. Whether he’s on the top line with Bergy or on the second line with Jake DeBrusk and David Krejci, Heinen will play an important role. Signing Danton Hienen gives the Bruins a little bit of breathing room at the wing position.

Turning heads

With Marcus Johannson signing with the Sabres and Noel Acciari signing with the Panthers, signing Danton Heinen checks number three off the free agent to do list for the Bruins. Numbers one and two still remain unsigned. Charlie McAvoy and Brandon Carlo have yet to sign, and the issue is cap room. After Heinen’s signing the Bruins now have about $8 Million to spend between the two. All heads will turn to Don Sweeney and the Bruins front office now. A trade or two might be the only option to bring both Carlo and McAvoy back. Don Sweeney is on the clock.

Media members comment on Gerry Callahan leaving WEEI

Former and current Boston personalities gave their thoughts on Gerry Callahan’s exit from WEEI.

Kirk Minihane, Callahan’s former WEEI co-host, was very opinionated on Callahan’s departure. His first tweet was, “This is all on Entercom. They let Bob Murchison call the shots. A Disgrace. Shameful. I’ve been unfair to Gerry the last few months for sure — misplaced anger. This is just bulls**t.” (Future articles to come about what all this means.)

John Dennis, Callahan’s first full time co-host on WEEI, tweeted, “When Gerry and I were good, we were very good. Loved sharing Boston’s amazing events w/ALL of you– Championships, parades, scandals, all of it tempered by 9-11 & the Marathon Bombings. We got thru it together. But the broadcasting biz lets very few of us walk away on our own terms.”

Mike “Mut” Mutnansky, Callahan’s most recent co-host, had a flurry of tweets regarding Callahan leaving. Mut first tweeted, “Found out the news about @GerryCallahan this AM. I loved working with Gerry. His fearlessness. (Gerry’s) allergic/ honest reaction to boring radio. His honesty. (Gerry’s) ability to get the most from his co-hosts and guests. His efforts for The Jimmy Fund. All of it.”

Alex Reimer, WEEI host and columnist tweeted, “@GerryCallahan is a legend and I love the guy. Don’t @ me.”

Reimer also posted, “I have had several ICE COLD BEERS and feel sentimental. @GerryCallahan and @kirkmin hosted a No. 1 morning show and gave a weird 20-something with a screechy voice a seat at the table. They supported me and didn’t give a s**t about mean texts. They are the best. Today sucks.”

Lou Merloni, co-host of WEEI’s “Ordway, Merloni and Fauria”, tweeted, “What happened yesterday to @GerryCallahan sucks. He hasn’t lost a step and is still as entertaining as ever. Sometimes doing your job well isn’t enough. He certainly did. Outside influences shouldn’t be the reason why people lose their jobs, but that’s not realistic these days.”

Dale Arnold, longtime WEEI personality and current co-host of “Dale and Keefe” posted on Twitter, “Found out yesterday afternoon about the departure of @GerryCallahan from @WEEI. Have been friends with Gerry for 20 years and have always valued his passion and enthusiasm for our business. I feel confident we haven’t heard the last from him. I certainly hope not.” 9

Also noteworthy is that a couple 98.5 The Sports Hub hosts shared their opinions on Callahan leaving their main competition.

Scott Zolak, co-host of 98.5’s “Zolak and Bertrand”, tweeted, “Saying this once. @GerryCallahan made me listen to sports radio for years when I played. Talked to many, his departure was handled as an embarrassment. He worked for the competitor but man did I respect him. He will be fine.”

Jim Murray, co-host of 98.5’s “Felger and Mazz”, posted on Twitter, “Love em or hate him, the guy’s a New England institution and deserved better and was nice to me in my in my few interactions I’ve had with him. Unfortunately serves as an example of how cold the business can be. We’re all just cattle waiting to get it through the skull.”

Moreover, many other media members shared their thoughts, including Callahan’s most recent producers Ken Laird and Chris Curtis. Veteran Boston personalities John Tomase, and Steve Buckley tweeted as well. Lastly, Lisa Scherber of The Jimmy Fund also posted about Callahan on twitter.

In addition to social media posts, long time WEEI host Glen Ordway had this to say about Callahan leaving and what he has meant to the station. Alex Reimer, Jermaine Wiggins, and Rob Bradford also discussed Callahan’s talent, legacy, and departure.

The Men Behind Some Of Tom Brady’s Firsts

It is easy to talk about the Tom Brady that everyone knows now. The records have all been set and more remain within reach, but at one time, Brady was not a record holder. Brady was not arguably the greatest in the world.

In 2001, Brady stepped into the starting quarterback spot for the Patriots after Drew Bledsoe was injured during a week two matchup against the Jets. The young quarterback was just given an opportunity to make a name for himself in the league.

Most know the story of Brady’s rise to football stardom, but many do not some of the people that were first to contribute or try to get in the way of it.

First Touchdown Pass: Terry Glenn, Wide Receiver

Week 5, 2001

Tom Brady and Terry Glenn, coming from opposing Big Ten schools, came together to help lift the Patriots out of a 1-3 start to the season. The pair had an unusual beginning to their season before that play. Glenn came off the bench from a four-game substance-abuse suspension. And Brady, well, everyone knows how that story goes. In this game, Glenn caught a 21-yard pass to record Brady’s first touchdown pass.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Gleen played at home for The Ohio State Buckeyes. The walk-on received the Biletnikoff Award for being one of the top college receivers. He was the Patriots seventh pick in the first round of the 1996 draft. Once in the league, he played 11 seasons for the Patriots, Packers, and Cowboys.

The wide receiver had a troubled personal life outside of football. He often found himself in trouble with the law, issues spawning from domestic violence to public intoxication and auto theft. Glenn’s life came to a tragic end in 2017 at age 43 in a rollover car accident. He left behind children and a fiance, who was injured in the accident.

First Sack: Brad Scioli, Defensive End

Week 6, 2001

Another first, another former Big Ten player. Scioli was in his third season with the Colts. The defensive end was up against a young, seemingly unknown quarterback who just stepped into the position. And when it was time to make a big play, it was Scioli that got that first sack.

Originally from Bridgeport, Pennsylvania, Scioli stayed in-state to play at the college level, playing for a tough Penn State program headed by Joe Paterno. He finished his degree in hotel, restaurant, and institutional management and was then drafted in the fifth round by the Colts in 1999. His NFL career was spent in Indianapolis before injuries forced his retirement in 2004.

Following his exit from the league, Scioli went into teaching. He received a teaching certification from West Chester University and received a master’s from Wilkes University. Eventually, Scioli moved back home and is now working for the Upper Merion Area School District.

First Interception: Denard Walker, Safety

Week 6, 2001

This 2001 Patriots team was on the edge of turning their season around, and up next on their to-do list was Denver. While the Patriots maintained a lead to start the game, the Broncos won it in a strong second-half effort. Many big plays helped the mile-high team secure their comeback, including the play made by Walker, causing Brady’s first interception of his career.

Denard Walker was born in Dallas Texas and attended LSU. He was drafted in the third round of the 1997 NFL draft to the Tennessee Oilers and was with the team as they became the Tennessee Titans. Walker bounced from the Titans to the Broncos, next to the Vikings and ended his career with the Raiders in 2005.

MLB Predictions at the Mid-Season Mark

With the All-Star Game come and gone, the official second half of the season starts today (except for the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers who played last night). Back in March before the season began, I made some bold predictions heading into the season. Let’s look at those and see how they have aged through 85 games.

Making making accurate sports predictions is never easy, especially on a long time frame.  It can be easier to make a prediction on a single game, which is why sports betting has become so popular with baseball fans.  Many fans are heading to gamble-USA.com to make their bets on baseball games.

Miguel Cabrera will hit 35+ home runs and have 100+ RBI

This one might be the furthest from happening. Through 80 games, the former MVP and Triple Crown winner has only five home runs and 36 runs batted in. While he has missed a few games due to injury, he’s only on pace for about 10 homers and 70 or so RBI.

While his average of .304 actually leads the team, and so does his RBI total, that doesn’t say much as the Tigers have scored the fewest runs in baseball at 308.

Cabrera just seems to have lost all power in his once feared swing. He is a singles machine and just lacks pop. For someone who once was a lock for 30 or more home runs and 100 plus RBIs, this is far from the Miggy that we used to know and love.

At this rate, Cabrera getting to 500 career home runs (which 35 would have done) might be a stretch. Hopefully this season was just an aberration and he can get his totals back in the teens or 20s for the remaining six years on his contract.

Maybe he can have a late career renaissance like David Ortiz did with the Red Sox a few years ago.

Christin Stewart will hit 25+ home runs

This is another one that is far from happening. On the year, Stewart has six home runs in 65 games played. While he has missed quite a few due to injury, he is on pace for 11 homers.

In a full season of games, he would’ve been on pace for about 21 dingers, so had he not missed so much time, he might have made things interesting. But unless he catches fire in August and September, it looks like we’ll have to wait until next year to see if this once touted prospect can show some power at the major league level.

Shane Greene will have 35+ saves and a sub-2.75 earned run average

One out of three isn’t bad, right?

This was by far my best prediction and has a legit shot of coming true. Greene, who was Detroit’s lone representative in the All-Star Game, is having his best season in the MLB.

The closer, who deserved his All-Star appearance, has pitched in 33 games so far for the Tigers and has converted 22 of 24 save opportunities. That ranks third in the American League behind Aroldis Chapman of the New York Yankees and Brad Hand of the Cleveland Indians.

He also has only given up four earned runs on the year and his ERA is sitting at a sparkling 1.09.

Greene is on pace for 42 saves and an earned-run average of around one.

I think unless he completely unravels in the second half, the only thing holding him back from accomplishing these two marks are being traded to a team that already has a set closer. His name has been thrown around in trade rumors for months now and getting 13 more saves on a team with an established closer will be a tough task.

All stats are courtesy of ESPN.com and Baseball-Reference.com.

Andrew Cashner: Cheap Yankee/Rays Killer

The Red Sox made a trade today with the Baltimore Orioles for right hand pitcher Andrew Cashner. Sure, Cashner is far from a perfect player. He has a 3.83 ERA this year, yet only a 4.25 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching). Essentially, he doesn’t strike out a ton of batters and walks around three per game. This means his ERA is more lucky than good. But he’s here for two reasons: He pitches well against the Rays and Yankees, and he’s cheap.

Cashner Against The Sox Direct Competition

Starting on July 22nd, the Red Sox will face off against the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees for 14 straight games. This stretch can’t win the division, but it could end the Sox season if they don’t play well. Brian Johnson has a 6.13 ERA this year. Hector Velazquez is at 5.52. Young Darwinzon Hernandez? 5.06. Lucky or not, Cashner’s 3.83 ERA is looking pretty good in comparison.

Over the past three seasons Andrew Cashner has a 3.61 ERA combined against both Tampa Bay and New York. In 62.1 innings he has 42 strikeouts and 21 walks. That’s not great, but it’s a decent sample size, and that ERA shows he knows how to pitch against those lineups. Sure, he’s only 3-4 in 10 games, but he’s been playing for the Orioles. They’re one of the worst teams in all of baseball.

The Cost

In terms of money, this fits right in to the Sox luxury tax problem. Opinions are varied, but Cashner will cost somewhere between $1.6 and $1.9 Million. The Orioles are even kicking in anywhere between $3-$5 Million in incentives that Cashner is due both now and next year.

You can’t get that kind of cash out of Peter Angelos and the Orioles unless you give something up. In this case, it’s a couple of 17 year olds:

Who know what these guys will become. Whatever it is is years away. The Red Sox season is in jeopardy of falling off a cliff. Nathan Eovaldi, a Yankee killer himself, is desperately needed in the bullpen. The options for the Red Sox in the starting rotation are not very good, and also don’t pitch deep into games. They had to do something, and per Dave Dombrowski’s M.O. they struck early.

Andrew Cashner has the ability to give the Sox just enough to make it an interesting summer.

10 Tips To Improve Your Table Tennis Game

Table Tennis has a learning curve of its own. Initially, you will find it hard to get started but as you grasp the basics, the improvement to the next level is rather fast.

While a technique is all that matters to improve your game, but a paddle also plays a vital role as you develop your technique. You can check the guide by Kevin James from PingPongBros on how to choose a Ping Pong Paddle. I personally found it to be the best guide on paddle selection for players of various skill levels.

If you’re a beginner, start with an all-round paddle which is neither too fast not too slow, medium spin and excellent control. Such a paddle will let you experience a wide variety of stroke play, which is quintessential for developing players.

In this article, we will be discussing some tips and tricks which can help you improve your overall game:

  1. Learn the Right Posture

You may know how to topspin the ball, but are you able to impart enough spin onto the ball? No, because your body is not in a right posture or you don’t have the proper footwork to transfer maximum spin on the ball.

So, your body postures are essential, and you should not be at any point be imbalanced. You also need to grip the paddle correctly and learn when and how much to move your feet. A correct posture will help you do the right serves, give a solid return and hit the ball with max power.

2. Get your Serves Right

Serves are the basic things you learn once you start playing the game. If you serve well right from the beginning, you can gain an edge over the opponent and use it against him. With excellent service, you can also win a point and sometimes even the game.

  • There are many different serves, and knowing all the kinds of serves will be beneficial for you while playing a tournament.
  • A short serve is the most common of them, and this serve inhibits the opponent from getting any advantage.
  • Mix and match your serves to gain an edge over your opponent as it may confuse him and keep them guessing.

As a thumb rule, if your opponent is a beginner to intermediate, try doing heavy backspin serves. In most cases, the opponent won’t be able to pick the serve.

3. Spin is your friend

Now that you have learned the basics of the game, it is time to use some spins to advance your playing style. If you get the spinning tricks properly, you can beat most of the garage players. Learn how spinning affects your return and how you can counter it.

  • To spin correctly, you first need to keep an eye on the opponent’s paddle. Following the ball, as it hits the paddle.
  • A neat trick you can use is to watch the logo on the ball to gauge its speed. A blurry image indicates that the spin is high.
  • Again by looking at the opponent’s paddle, you can understand the type of spin. Topspin is when the paddle moves from low to high and when it is a backspin when the paddle moves from high to low. Right side spin is indicated when the paddle moves from left to right.
  • Keep your wrists relaxed when you plan to counter a spin return. Also, move your hand quickly at the end of the stroke if you want to make the spin effective.

4. Focus on Shorter Swings

Remember that in table tennis, a shorter swing is always better as opposed to other sports such as golf or lawn tennis. If your swing or follow-through is longer, it will take you a longer time to return to your position. Table tennis is a fast sport, that may cost you the point.

Always focus on short yet powerful swings. Master your footwork to drive energy from the ground, and even the short swing strokes will go with sufficient power.

5. Play short with soft-touch

Anyone with even a rickety paddle can smash a bouncy ball. But can you do the same with the ball which barely bounces? No, and that’s what you should aim at. Try to return the ball as close to the net as possible with the least amount of bounce. Alternatively, if you can’t hit short, try to place the ball at the farther corner of the opponent’s table which would make your opponent move back to hit the ball.

6. Track your Opponent

Let’s consider this scenario: Your opponent is standing at the far right corner of the table, diagonally opposite to you. You trick the player, as if you’re serving to the backhand side of the opponent but rather at the last movement, you serve at the forehand of the player. Obviously, the player would get startled and would need to move quickly to reach to the ball.

You may very well earn the point, or the opponent would do a weak return.

Tracking your opponent can help you outwit them and score points with ease.

7. Stay Cool and Be Patient

The game of table tennis is all about holding onto your nerves. The game is fast, requires concentration throughout with a high level of physical stamina.

Keeping your head clam during the intense matches can help you win the close games and implement your strategies.

8. Use the Whole Body for Maximum Energy

My coach used to say – ‘Generate energy from your feet’. I never understood it back then, but now I truly understand the meaning of his words. In table tennis, you drive energy from your feet, arms, and hip movement. Out of these three, the feet contribute the most. Pressing the feet against the ground helps you generate energy to put on your strokes.

9. Get your Footwork right

To execute the shots to perfection, you need to be on the right posture along with the correct footwork. During the game, only your hands move, but below the tables, it’s your feet, which help you reach the ball and pull the strokes with perfection.

10. Practice

Like everything else in life, there is no substitute for practice. To truly excel in the game, you need hours and hours of training to get your strokes right. But merely practicing isn’t sufficient. You need to practice smart, working on your weaker areas, and practicing with the right technique.

Conclusion

Table Tennis a sport of discipline, concentration, and there are no shortcuts. You need to work on all aspects of your game and body to improve and compete at a professional level.

Celtics

Boston Celtics Hellos and Goodbyes

The Celtics elected for addition by subtraction, essentially, by parting ways with both Kyrie Irving and Terry Rozier since the free-agent market opened.

Both players were disgruntled, having voiced their opinion about both their former teammates and the Celtics organization, which clearly appeared to have an effect on the team’s chemistry as the season progressed.

As such, the Celtics let Irving walk, and shipped out Rozier in a sign-and-trade. To replace them, the basketball team signed superstar Kemba Walker, and Gordon Hayward appears happy about it. Check out what he had to say about it on Instagram.

We can’t wait to see the two play together this season. It should be as exciting as visiting this New Zealand online casino – www.newzealandcasinos.nz.

The Celtics are eating Yabusele’s guaranteed $3 million salary to open up another roster space. It’s possible that spot will go to summer league sensation Tacko Falls.

Yabu had a far bigger impact on Twitter than the court. It was speculated the Celtics picked up his team option solely to give them salary flexibility in a trade. It looks like that money could have been better spent on a claim bonus at an online casino.

In the it’s-not-really-fair-to-do-this-but-we’ll-do-it-anyway department, here are the notable selections after Yabusele in the 2016 draft: Caris LeVert (20), Pascal Siakam (27), Dejounte Murray (29) and Malcolm Brogdon (36).

The Celtics made SIX selections in 2016:  Jaylen Brown, Yabusele, Ante Zizic, Demetrius Jackson, Ben Bentil and Abdel Nader.

Straight to the point. Short and sweet. No dramatics. That message epitomizes Al Horford.

Thanks, Al. But I hope you stink in Philly.
