It’s a curious situation at the moment where the NBA is concerned. However, with MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo approaching free agency by next summer, one has to wonder what he sees in his future. Could it be that he would want to be traded from the Milwaukee Bucks to find a new home elsewhere? If so, then is it conceivable that the Boston Celtics would be able to put together an enticing package deal for him to take advantage of to make the move?

What’s more, could Antetokounmpo be traded before the final year of his contract is up? It wouldn’t be the first time that this has happened. You only need to look at Paul George in 2017, who was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder and then went on to sign a contract extension with the team afterwards.

Whatever the case may be, it’s likely that if Antetokounmpo does make a move, the team he ends up on will receive plenty of interest. This will include some interest from sports bettors no doubt, who will be looking to back the team he arrives at furiously. One of the best locations to do that at is the 888 Sport platform. Multiple sporting events are able to be wagered on there, including those from the NBA. What’s more, you can also engage in the 888 Casino as a member, meaning that you get to take some time out and play a few slots or card games as an alternative. There’s even a poker room available at 888 for you to experience.

Milwaukee Bucks Will Likely Try to Retain Antetokounmpo

Of course, the Bucks won’t be looking at losing such a star player so easily. While the team has had the league’s best record for the past two seasons, Antetokounmpo has yet to win a ring there, so he may wish to move elsewhere for alternative opportunities. And while it’s true that the Bucks are a good team where regular season success is concerned, there aren’t so many players other than Antetokounmpo who have the ability to take over in such an offensive way.

If the Celtics managed to get their hands on him though, there’s the chance to have him form part of a Big 3. Yet, what would General Manager for the team, Danny Ainge have to do to satiate the Bucks? Well, he may just have to offer up players like Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown. Perhaps even players like Romeo Langford and Grant Williams should also be on the table. After all, there’s a lot of stock in Antetokounmpo, and the Bucks could certainly benefit from any one of those trades.

Yet, there’s something else to consider – Antetokounmpo may be looking to move elsewhere. The Golden State Warriors have close ties to him, thanks to his admiration of Stephen Curry and the team in general. Yet, the Celtics may still prove to be the best move for him, considering he’d be playing alongside the likes of Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker in that star trio setup. We’re quite sure that Ainge should take a strong look into acquiring the MVP of the Bucks – and if he claims him, that’s quite the scenario for him to revel in.
