As 2020 kicks off, there’s only one thing on every football fan’s mind: Super Bowl LIV. The 54th edition of the National Football League’s ultimate game will take place this February and bring the 2019 season to a close. Think your team has a shot? There’s still plenty of time to get your hands on cheap Super Bowl tickets. Here are the details of the upcoming Super Bowl.

When & Where

This season’s battle for the Lombardi Trophy will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Super Bowl LIV kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on the Fox network from coast to coast This will be the 11th time that the city of Miami has played host to a Super Bowl and the sixth Super Bowl hosted in Miami Gardens, which last hosted the game ten years ago.

The 11 Super Bowls in Miami are the most of any city in the United States. The home of this year’s game, Hard Rock Stadium, has been previously known as Joe Robbie Stadium, Pro Players Stadium, Dolphin Stadium, and Sun Life Stadium. The only venue to have hosted more Super Bowls is the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, which has held seven. It will hold an eighth when Atlanta hosts the 2024 Super Bowl.

The Halftime Show

Super Bowl LIV’s halftime show is getting plenty of hype, and for good reason. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will co-headline the halftime show, which once again will be sponsored by Pepsi. The brief but spectacular show is typically one of the most-watched of all televised live music events each year.

In February of 2015, recording artist Katy Perry headlined the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show, attracting 118.5 million viewers and earning the honor of being the most-watched live music event of all time in the U.S.

The NFL, in an attempt to broaden its television-viewing audience and increase nationwide interest, has been getting well-known pop music acts to perform at halftime of the Super Bowl for the better part of three decades.

In the early days of the Super Bowl, college marching bands and other touring musical groups would perform the game’s halftime show. In 1991, the nature of the show began to evolve, with the hiring of pop sensations New Kids on the Block as one of several halftime acts.

The Super Bowl halftime show changed for good in 1993 when the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson, took the stage. Jackson’s halftime performance increased television ratings significantly, and the stage was set for all future Super Bowl halftime shows.

Super Bowl LIV Odds

A Super Bowl LIV potential matchup is starting to become clearer, especially since four teams have recently been removed from competition during the NFL Wildcard playoff rounds.

While there are still eight teams fighting for who will move on to this year’s Super Bowl, one thing is for sure: We’ll have a different Super Bowl Champion and AFC representative, following the New England Patriots’ defeat by the Titans.

As per The Action Network’s SuperBowl 54 Odds Tracker, the Ravens remain Super Bowl LIV favorites and improved from +210 to +190 entering the Divisional Round; they’re now inside 2-1 for the first time all year. The Niners improved from +375 to +325, and the Chiefs — who, following the Pats’ defeat, will now face the Texans — jumped from +450 to +340.

Two 6-seeds, the Vikings and Titans, moved onto the second weekend of the NFL Playoffs with wins as 7.5- and 4.5-point underdogs, respectively. The Packers will host the Seahawks as 4-point favorites on Sunday night.
