Why Kevin Durant should sign with Celtics

Kevin Durant is set to be the marquee free agent this summer. With Golden State having helped him win two titles, it’s time for KD to cement his legacy elsewhere. Many believe he may be headed to Brooklyn or the Knicks to lead them to the promised land. However, the one place Durant should really go to is Boston. Here’s why;

Durant and OKC blew a 3-1 lead in the 2017 WCF

1. He Needs to win somewhere else

Kevin Durant is most infamous for jumping ship to the Warriors from the Oklahoma City Thunder. KD has yet to reach a Finals, let alone win one, without the help of an established dynasty. Boston hasn’t reached an NBA Final since 2010, almost a decade. These two can accomplish great things together and rewrite both their legacies.

2. He was almost here before

Before Kevin Durant made his choice to join the Golden State Warriors, he was almost a Celtic. Many Boston athletes like Julian Edelman were all-in on recruitment. Durant saw plenty enough to have the team on the table, so why not go back? He’d be an immediate superstar and is still wanted by the front office of the C’s.

Anthony Davis has been linked to multiple teams, including the Celtics

3. Anthony Davis

The Celtics are one of the many teams linked to Anthony Davis, and have the resources to go out and get him. Durant has played next to many great stars, and always performs better because of it. If the Celtics can make AD in Boston in a reality, than Kevin Durant would be hard-pressed to say no if Boston makes an offer. A KD-AD pairing would be nigh-unstoppable in this NBA and give Boston some much-needed star power.

4. The perfect pair to change their legacy

The Boston Celtics found themselves the only team in their city not in the finals this year. On top of that, Kyrie Irving seems as good as gone, and shows Boston has a hard time winning with big stars. Kevin Durant took the easy road to winning, but wants to rebuild his legacy. If Boston can make it work with Durant, and KD can lift the Celtics to the Finals, then both could be restored. Boston would have success with a star player again and erase the Kyrie saga. Kevin Durant would win with a team that needed him and prove he didn’t need Golden State to win.

Rex Burkhead’s Job is Safe in A Crowded Backfield

No Patriot has received more flack this offseason than Rex Burkhead. The latest buzz on Rex is he will be the odd man out this summer in the runningback rotation. Yet, I am here to pump the breaks on that belief.

Uncertainty Creates Opportunity

There are large uncertainties at both receiver and tight end. This makes it likely the Patriots will start the season with a few more runningbacks than normal.

Ben Watson’s suspension, Julian Edelman’s age, N’Keal Harry’s inexperience, and the current uncertainty the public has with who will be the number three receiver should all indicate that the Patriots might be grounded to start off the season. Then, once Ben Watson comes back and things start to make sense and click, things should open up more.

Losing Gronk, and Watson to start the season, the Patriots start 2019 with a less than stellar tight end group. This group does have guys like Ryan Izzo and Andrew Beck, who were very strong blockers in college, however, both have not played a regular season game yet.

Matt LaCosse looks like the front runner for the starting job and also has shown that he is a good blocker. However, he has never seen a role of this magnitude in the NFL before.

Not to mention, the tackle spots remain a question mark. Marcus Cannon may have come off a very strong campaign last season, but struggles to remain consistent in the NFL. And the even bigger issue continues to be the health of Isaiah Wynn, who so far has been forced to hand the lion share of left tackle reps to Joe Thuney, due to his inability to be at full go so far.

With all this uncertainty with the offense to start the season, the Patriots could use a back that can hit the hole fast and hard, embrace the contact, and run with excellent vision. No one on the Patriots does those things better than Rex Burkhead.

Familiar Spot for Rex

Not to mention, Rex has pretty much been fighting for his job his whole NFL career. In a season where everyone believes he is on the outside looking in, he has a lot to prove.

The biggest thing holding Rex’s roster spot in place has to be his contract. Cutting Rex Burkhead would cost the Patriots more money than keeping him on the team for the season.

Economic Fallout Would Be Unbelichickian

Trading him would do the same. Also, the trade market for runningbacks is ridiculously low at the moment. Several quality runningbacks like Jay Ajayi, Marshawn Lynch, and Alex Collins are yet to be signed this offseason.

Rex Will Survive

Giving all this evidence, the number of runningbacks the Patriots currently have might not matter. Rex Burkhead will survive the crowded backfield .

GAME 6: STANLEY CUP FINALS|BOSTON BRUINS VS. ST. LOUIS BLUES

Amid all the controversies, missed calls, holdings, and trips, the Boston Bruins are now focused at the task at hand. With their backs against the walls, Boston faces elimination tonight in St. Louis, or they send the series back home to Boston.

DEJA VU

The Bruins have been in this position before when they were down 3-2 in the series against Toronto and won both Games 6 and 7. And if you look even further back to 2011, Boston also dropped Game 5 of the series against the Vancouver Canucks. And as every Bruins fan knows, the boys in Black and Gold won the Stanley Cup that year.

It was recently announced Matt Grzelcyk has not been cleared to play. That means Karson Kuhlman will be in the lineup, leaving David Backes out as a healthy scratch. With this move, Coach Bruce Cassidy is looking to bring more speed for tonight’s tilt. In a crucial Game 6, the Bruins need to elevate their game. The attention will be on the first line, who has been extremely quiet post-season, much to the frustration of loyal fans. Boston will need to bring their special teams up to par, after going 4-for-4 in Game 3.

“We know what’s at stake in terms of if it doesn’t go our way. We’re packing and that it. It’s over. I think our guys have responded well all year. This is a group that plays hard… I’m not concerned at all about what our effort will be or that part. It’s can we execute well enough? Can we play our game better than they play theirs to keep playing”

QUICK UPDATES

It was announced yesterday that St. Louis’s Ivan Barbashev has been suspended for Game 6 for an illegal check to the head of Marcus Johannson in Game 5. This is the second suspension for the Blues team in this series. Zdeno Chara was carefully guarded as he spoke with reports yesterday for the first since fracturing his jaw. Chara played roughly 16 minutes in Game 5, and stated he felt fine playing with no limitations.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Call it what you want, the St. Louis Blues are a tough team that relays heavily on their hard forechecking. The question is though, how much more can they rely on those high-hard hits? And how much longer will officials let those hits step over boundaries? So far it has worked in their favor (whether they are “cheap” or “dirty”). Whatever fence you reside on, there’s no skirting the issue that officiating in the NHL has become an issue, and the lack of inconsistent calls is extremely frustrating to players and fans alike. And it has not only affected this series, but earlier rounds were not immune to some missed, egregious calls. It will be interesting to see how officiating will affect tonight’s game after earlier statements from both Cassidy and Berube.

There no sugar-coating when it comes to the Stanley Cup Finals. The season is on the line and the Boston Bruins need to bring everything they have out on the ice. All lines need to step up, and the time to get fancy with the puck is over and should’ve been over since Game 1. Legacies are on the line and for Boston, it’s win or go home.

The Bruins Need A Hero

After losing 2-1 to the St. Louis Blues in Game 5, Tuukka Rask was asked for a summary of the game. He laughed and said, “Summary? Probably could’ve stopped more pucks with my eyes closed. That’s about it. It’s on me, but we’re on to the next one.”

Officiating

It’s an admirable statement, but it’s also false. We can talk about how the first goal was scored while St. Louis had too many men on the ice. We can talk about how the second goal came seconds after Tyler Bozak took down Noel Acciari with a slew foot that wasn’t called, despite happening directly in front of referee Kelly Sutherland. We can talk about Ivan Barbashev hitting Marcus Johansson with a shoulder to the head and Zach Sanford hitting Torey Krug with an elbow to the head. None of those were called. In fact, the Blues haven’t had many calls against them since Blues Coach Craig Berube complained about the calls they received in Game 3. It’s also no coincidence that Game 3 was the best-called game of the series and the Bruins dominated, 7-2.

The officiating can’t be held completely responsible though, and neither can Rask. The Bruins have depth that has yet to show up in force. The power play was ferocious in Game 3, but seemed to disappear in the last two games. The zone possession hasn’t been steady by any means, and the first two lines have yet to truly show up. In short, the Boston Bruins need a hero to step up.

Boosts to Morale

Captain Zdeno Chara took a puck to the face, breaking his jaw in Game 4. In Game 5 he was back on the ice on the starting line and even had the first hit of the game. At one point the Blues were shooting on net and Rask ended up flat, too far out. David Krejci jumped in the crease and stopped a puck with his chest. Those are huge steps and great confidence boosters for the team. Now down 3-2 in the series, the Bruins have to win both of the remaining games. With their backs against the wall, they have to prevent the Blues from winning Game 6 in St. Louis and force a Game 7 back in Boston.

The Bruins have been here before. They were down 3 games to 2 in the first round against Toronto. They’ve shown they have the fortitude, strength, confidence, and downright grittiness to win against tough odds. So who will it be? It has to be the first two lines. Krejci had that amazing save, reminiscent of Michael Ryder in Game 5 against the Montreal Canadiens in the 2011 playoffs, but his line hasn’t been effective in scoring. The Perfection Line of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and David Pastrnak has been well defended, but it’s time to break through that defense. They have to persevere and find a way and it has to happen now. There’s no longer a tomorrow.

RED SOX – RAYS SERIES PREVIEW

A get right trip to Kansas City now means that the Red Sox are on a run of four straight wins, putting them just 6.5 games behind the Yankees. They now return home for another tough week against some talented teams. The second-placed Tampa Bay Rays are first up this weekend. This weekend is a crowded one, with a double-header on Saturday, and a matchup with Blake Snell on Sunday.

6/7 Rick Porcello vs. Yonny Chirinos (R) 6:10 pm NESN

6/8 David Price vs. Ryan Yarbrough (L) 1:05 pm NESN

6/8 TBD vs. TBD 6:10 pm NESN

6/1 Eduardo Rodriguez vs. Blake Snell (L) 1:05 pm NESN

NOTABLE NUMBERS

PITCHERS

The Rays rotation is so tough to analyze because it is an ever-changing beast. That is further complicated by both teams not knowing who will pitch in the second half of the doubleheader on Saturday. The one sure-fire starter is Blake Snell, who has a 3.66 ERA this season. However, 16 of his 27 earned runs have been given up on the road. Those road starts have been mixed, as he has shut down the Yankees in New York, but was then shelled by both the Royals and Tigers. In fact, 13 of those 16 road earned runs came in those two starts. It will be interesting to see which version of “Road Snell” Boston see this weekend.

As for the other two starters, they are Yonny Chirinos and Ryan Yarbrough. Both of those pitchers have been used in interesting ways this season. Chirinos has started in 6-of-12 outings this season, and Yabrough in just 2-of-8. Chirinos has had success in both roles, with a 2.78 ERA as a starter and a 3.91 ERA as a reliever. On the other hand, Yarbrough has a 5.65 ERA as a starter and 6.64 as a reliever. Additionally, Yarbough allowed three earned in three innings last time against Boston.

For the three Red Sox starters we know will take the mound, home is where the heart is this season. All three have better ERAs in Fenway Park than on the road. Price leads the pack with a 0.95 home ERA and a 0.75 WHIP. Porcello’s ERA sits at 3.52 with a 1.23 WHIP, and Rodriguez has a 3.56 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP. Let’s hope for another strong set of performances from these pitchers this weekend.

HITTERS

On the hitting side, things have been a little more mixed for the Red Sox hitters. The Red Sox average 1.38 HR per game at home, as opposed to 1.47 on the road. However, the Red Sox hit for a superior batting average and slugging percentage at home than on the road. Additionally, the Red Sox offense is heating up. In 30 games in March/April they hit 32 home runs, but hit 51 in May. Their batting average has jumped from .239 in those opening months, to .278 in May, and is at .298 for June so far. It will be hard to increase the overall trend much further, but continuing into a strong summer is much needed for this team.

The Rays have been remarkably consistent this season so far. They hit 35 home runs in March/April and 36 in May. Interestingly they had 12 triples in the first month and just one in May. To start June they have seven home runs with a .270 batting average. The Red Sox will be hoping to slow that down this weekend.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Pitching: The fourth pitcher this weekend will be very interesting. With the way Nathan Eovaldi opened the season, there is a potential spot up for grabs even after his return. Right now the four of Price, Porcello, Rodriguez and Chris Sale looks set. However, a strong performance this weekend could give a pitcher a shot of spending more time in the rotation as the year progresses.

Hitting: In the first five games of June the Red Sox have hit six home runs. Eduardo Nunez, J.D. Martinez, Rafael Devers, and Mookie Betts all have one each, with two for Xander Bogaerts. Any creeping concerns about Andrew Benintendi were put to bed with a four home runs, five steal May. However, after hitting just .259, the Red Sox will be hoping he can get his June kick-started in this series.

EXPECTATIONS

The last week essentially describes the Red Sox season. For the first few days, it was doom-and-gloom, losing the last two to the Indians and the first two to the Yankees. Then things turned around with a four-straight win -streak. Now the Red Sox have a chance to build momentum and potentially move into second place in the division this week.

A four-game home series against the Rays offers an opportunity for the Red Sox. Get this right and there is a chance they could be breathing down the neck of the Yankees, within five games and ready to strike. However, make a mess and they could lose ground on both rivals and be facing a 10-game deficit to the dreaded Yankees. With the Rangers and Orioles next up, the Red Sox have a real chance to reel off a strong run of results and put themselves right back in the division hunt.

Uprising Stage 3 Week 1 Preview: Spitfire and Eternal

New to Overwatch? Get caught up on everything Overwatch League by reading our introduction.

Friday, June 7th @ 8:45pm: London Spitfire

Sunday, June 9th @ 4:45pm: Paris Eternal

Finally! It seems like it’s been ages since we’ve gotten any Overwatch League action. In fact, it’s been 33 days since we’ve seen the Uprising in action. Given that the boys in blue were reverse swept against the lowly Washington Justice on that day, the break has been tainted by an extra sense of bitterness. Well, no more. What better way to start Stage 3 then a double header against London and Paris?

Before we get into the matchups, let’s shake out some cobwebs. At 7-7, the Uprising are standing at 12th place. For those that don’t remember the year end playoff format, 12th place is a dangerous spot to be in. Eight teams make up Overwatch League’s year end playoffs, but the path in is highly circumstantial. First, each division winner gets in. Second, the next four teams with the best match record (regardless of division) punch their tickets. Lastly, the seventh through twelfth place teams go through a mini playoff for the last two spots. Got it?

The last time we saw Boston…

Thus any worse than 12th automatically gets you kicked out. Clearly Boston should be shooting to be a top 6 team. Is that realistic? Well, the 6th spot currently belongs to the Dallas Fuel, who sit at 9-5. The point is, Boston has to keep pace. They have to make up ground. They can still realistically get out of the play-in tournament and qualify for an automatic postseason bid. But the importance of each match can’t be understated. There are no more throw always. They have to start stockpiling wins. And that starts with this week.

London Spitfire

Last year’s inaugural season champions the London Spitfire are tough to read this year. At 9-5, they are seemingly where they need to be. But, they are 3-2 against teams with a record greater than 500. That means they’re feasting on lower tier teams and winning just over half their games against the top teams. Also, they haven’t played Vancouver, New York, or San Francisco, the near unanimously perceived top teams in the league. What happens when they get to that part of their schedule?

But don’t start calling me just a homer. On 4/20 they broomed the Uprising right off the stage. Maybe some of the European players brought their free attitude towards pot with them and got everyone on board for the day. Perhaps Boston were just off on an early Saturday night game. Maybe London was on a three game winning streak and were just hot.

Either way, there is a tough history there for Boston. London is a team that has taken care of business enough to be where they are – automatic qualifier for year end playoffs. It’s hard to expect them to falter as we wind down to the end of the season. Uprising fans can expect any hope for a hot start to the new stage to meet stiff resistance.

Paris Eternal

On the other end of the spectrum is the Paris Eternal – a quagmire wrapped in an enigma, bounded in a puzzle. There’s been some flashes of brilliance (opening the season with a win against the Spitfire) but mostly it’s been turmoil. Losing their head coach (daemoN) and team manager (lizlin) are indicative of some chaos behind the scenes. While it’s laudable that the team is made up of all European players, the execution hasn’t hit the high marks many hoped for.

While there is much to hope for in the match against the Spitfire, Boston fans have all the reasons to feel confident against Paris. Given the month break, the boys in blue should have learned from the Justice loss to never underestimate their opponent. To take each match seriously. And to execute for all four maps. No reason to think they can’t do what is necessary to win here.

Outlook

How will the Boston Uprising start Stage 3? Will they be the team that stole an undefeated stage from the Los Angelas Gladiators or the one reverse swept by the Washington Justice? As mentioned, the Spitfire are a team seemingly reaching top tier but still not thoroughly battle tested. Paris is a team that all would expect Boston to steamroll – but expectation is the mother of disappointment.

Obviously starting off 2-0 would be great. London has shown signs of weakness and inconsistency all year. Paris seems like a dumpster fire. If the Uprising show they’ve taken the lessons they’ve learned all season long seriously, they could put the league on notice. But if they aren’t on their A game, if they pump themselves up too much, it could be a long weekend. Here’s hoping they come into the new stage with the fire burning in them.

Don’t forget the Uprising are hosting an official watch party!

Perfection with The 15 leading Golf Swing Tips

It is, in fact, a fact that golf is one game that offers one of the greatest games of all time and whether you are a professional golfer or a recreational player, the key to its success lies on how you have built your confidence, and the stretch of arrangements you have put in place.

Actually, once you have mastered the art of golf, the noticeable references such as driving distance and accuracy are the principal factors which will simply give you direction. There are many ways of building confidence, and as such, the tips below are resourceful and are straightforward, easy to refer to and re-examine all through your time of practice. It can help you to improve your skills.

1. Broaden Your Stance

As an initiation of your initial hole-up, by swinging your driver in a faster away, it creates a much bigger momentum. To achieve this, put the driver in position and this is actually having a bearing on the speed because it provides you with a larger swing arc and thus aiding important point of displacement.

You should also note that because you are going to swing the driver faster, then a solid base is required to facilitate the swing. You can get more flexible in every step, https://www.andrewricegolf.com/andrew-rice-golf/2011/11/hitting-up-or-down-heres-how-to-set-up

Also, by developing the right setting for the driver, it will ensure that your shoulders are flexible enough and will have an inclined position down into your feet as a principle position. In doing this, your level of balance is achieved, and therefore, with an increased clubhead speed, you are ready to go!

2. Getting your Spine Tilted

Despite the fact that the relationship between the driver swing and the iron elements are similar, one unique component is actually at play. While the ball is being swung by the iron swing, an action that will strike down the golf ball need to be initiated. However, with the driver, the tee will hold the ball, and this means the opposite action is done-hitting up the ball. The sliding position is indicated by positioning your left shoulder so that it appears raised as compared to the right side.

Such a sight tilt is important in putting the focus on your spine arrangement. It can be actually a big deal, https://www.golfdigest.com/story/randy_smith_add_power

3. Practice and quick prep

If you are looking to advance your basic scope in golf, then the quick-hit approach is very important. As a beginner golfer, you can take vital notes which provide limitless improvements in terms of practice time. Firstly, seek the purpose by understanding your current limitations, opportunities, and strengths. Then make a plan, create space, picket targets and then execute a shot. More shots and better practice is the way to go, https://www.golfdigest.com/story/randy_smith_add_power

4. Join a learner’s club

If you are a beginner, then you need to get down to the basics, helping yourself to understand the required standard for any player. A PGA Tour player median clubhead speed when one is using a driver is about 180kmh and the 15 handicap average is about 148kmh. Therefore, there should be a narrowing of the gap distance to be able to achieve the horizontal distance and this is first done with the swinging of the club faster. It can be a bigger bond, https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DqS6H-0XgAAo4js.jpg

5. Establishing your impact location

In order to understand well how to optimize your golfer position, then an impact of the marching orders should be on the table. Actually, as a golfer, making contact with the ball is just the beginning and it will now provide a substance to meet your goal range, which actually provides the tenderness in times of your link to the driver as well as the fairway woods. 6. Get more training at the Gym

To go top, ensure that your PGA Tour leaderboard is referred to especially when considering a game that needs strength and power. If you refer to the power of Tiger Woods, then it is from this brand of golfers that are bringing a new lease of knowledge about the need for fitness, and thus can bring in great results. Simply visit https://www.golfdigest.com/story/fitness-friday-balance-your-training-with-this-great-piece-of-gym-equipment for essential gym products.

7. Better Width position in the Swing

If you are seeking to have a much better base in terms of speed and as per the longest club projections, then you should actually refer to the body positioning which must be established with extended hands and must be far from your body. This factor actually provides you with ample space to determine the way an extension is developed, further away from your body, but also through into the stretches. Check https://www.liveabout.com/golf-setup-position-1564424 for better width position.

8. Execute a Stretching Schedule

If you are seeking to be a better golfer, then you should consider additional lessons to fine-tune your scope and accuracy. You can get through existing manuals or even watch great players play and this can be very helpful. Actually, the methods are the same, the pace is the same and even taking every shot just remain the same. The rhythm can be achieved by ensuring that you go through all existing format to just get things to a routine. It can be great to stretch a little, https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/golf/golfers-who-are-poised-for-a-breakout-in-2019/ss-BBSEhcR

9. Create More load on your Trail Foot

The more pressure you develop when you stretch on your right thigh presents you with hitting up scenario. Actually, with this occurrence, you are actually addressing the dimensions which would put more weight on the address of your trail foot. Further, the ideal position allows you to shift gear and therefore, the distribution of your feet will facilitate your ability to redefine actual load. If you are in this position, then you are in for an amazing strike! Just get it right, https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DihurCYWAAEzG-n.jpg

10. Control your breath

You can control your breath quite well and this will release all your stress that already piled up. This is actually providing you with an option to improve your viability, stay stronger and be focused. It is obvious that with essential training, put yourself down to relax, create a bigger budge in your lungs and have plenty of breathing, reducing it slowly by slowly.

11. Pulling up your pocket

This is an important practice which will support your overall stability. It is simply achieved by assuming that someone is pulling back your right pocket so that you are engaged more. This is substantially achieved by looking at the lateral shift and the part that forms the backswing. Therefore, the actual impact is swayed appropriately, by considering the actual rotations and the forecasts that will elevate you to a powerful position. Free drills are just great, https://www.golftipsmag.com/instruction/quick-tips/power-tips-and-drills/

12. Having presets on your hips

Flexibility is important in any golf training and competition and to ensure this is done, you must be creative and make radical changes in how you energize your movements. The trendy consideration is actually defined by the potentials about the energy levels, and one method to do this is to make a preset f your hips by putting down at address the trail foot. By achieving this, it becomes simple to rotate and make vital and accurate shots.

13. Get high-quality Golf shoes

As a golfer, what matters most is how secure you are especially with regards to your footwear. A highly versatile shoe will provide you with better training, improved response and additional shock absorptions and therefore, fewer injuries. At https://www.tgw.com/new-golf-products/new-golf-shoes?CP=3ACROSSM1:2019shoes you are certain that you will get the best golf shoes that meet your ultimate goals.

14. Ensure a held up finish

After rigorous training, it is time to uplift your status a bit, with a PGA tour arrangement which will simply give you some additional support. Support up your excesses by now holding a position so that you can quickly approach the ball by using the right swing path and;
Ensure that there is consistency in the rhythm to support your swing and
Create more space to facilitate the impact point for the clubface.

Practice this section again and again. It can be really amazing, https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/commander-in-cheat-what-is-it-like-to-play-golf-with-donald-trump-vvsn9c27x

15. Set goals

Setting a goal is actually the best thing you can do to ensure that you track your personal progress and achieve better results. This can be something great in terms of your expectations. If you can put down achievable goals, then your path of becoming one of the best golfers is just within reach.

The Rich League: NFL vs EPL

European sports fans often view American sports with contempt, with some citing it as the enemy to their noble pastime. Attempts to change, modernise or alter sport in Europe are often categorised as ‘Americanisations’.

Having said that our European counterparts have a lot to learn from the way our sports franchises operate, as Forbes latest sporting valuations confirm. The English Premier League is often described as the most ‘moneyed’ sports league in the world.

Yet it still lags well behind the NFL in terms of value much to the chagrin of soccer (sorry, football) fans across the pond. Here’s how the top 3 NFL and EPL teams measure up in terms of wealth.

Dallas Cowboys $4,800 billion

Manchester United $4,123 billion

The Dallas Cowboys became the first non-European sports team to top the Forbes rich list in 2017 and have retained number one ranking ever since. The Cowboys $1.2 billion stadium is the team’s biggest asset, bringing in annual revenues of $250 million from ticketing and sponsorship.

Manchester United conversely should be ashamed to be beaten by the Cowboys. The Red Devils are the best supported sports team on the planet with supporters clubs in 157 countries across the globe.

TV rights of over $300 million a year have put the club in a healthy financial position but poor performances on the pitch of late combined with terrible transfer business has contributed to their fall from the top. Although they are still the most valuable club in world soccer (football).

New England Patriots $3,700 billion

Manchester City $2,474 billion

Robert Kraft paid $172 million for the New England Patriots in 1994 which at the time, seemed like an odd move. The franchise had never won the Super Bowl and in truth, never looked likely of doing so.

Since then the franchise have won the Super Bowl six times, largely thanks to superstar quarterback Tom Brady. Robert Kraft has not only been pivotal in raising the value of the Patriots but he is also credited with doing the same for NFL in general.

Manchester City are a relatively new addition to the ‘Rich List’ after being bought by Sheikh Mansour for $200 million in 2008. Since then the club have spent a rumoured $2 billion on transfers, contracts and infrastructure improvements.

In reality Manchester City are by far the richest sports team in the world. Their owner has a personal wealth of $21.5 billion and a family fortune of $1 trillion. Although his wealth has to be reported separately from Manchester City’s to avoid penalties from financial fair play organisations.

New York Giants $3,300 billion

Arsenal $2,238 billion

Despite having a tough time on the field in recent years the Giants have cemented their place in the ‘Rich List’ thanks to impressive sponsorship and ticketing revenues.

John Mara and Steven Tisch’s franchise rake in just under $500 million a year in combined revenues. The Giants tight control of expenditure has seen them rise above free-spending European soccer teams.

Premier League club Arsenal bring in higher revenues ($520 million) with a substantial amount coming from the team’s well-run commercial department. However their wealth has been considerably worsened by American owner Stan Kroenke.

The Los Angeles Rams owner is hated by Arsenal fans for his perceived asset-stripping of the club. In 2014 season ticket revenue of $5 million was used by Kroenke to fund the purchase of a luxury Texan ranch. The controversial owner also hit the headlines last month when he failed to appear at the club’s Europa League Final against Chelsea.

8 Little Mental Health Tips That Therapists Actually Give Their Patient

Having good mental health is important as it greatly affects our emotions, social well-being and the judgments we make. Sound mental health is an important aspect through all the stages of life and that’s why Therapists have come up with different mental health tips and techniques to help those in need such as participating in Indoor Sports, hiking and taking short notes on their daily activities.

The main aim of any therapy is to give you tools and first-hand info on how to navigate whatever is bothering your life: a good therapist will not prescribe some general life changing advice and call it a day. A report showed good results are obtained when you apply what you have learned in a real life setting. Let’s take a closer look at 8 unique mental health tips that therapist use on their patients and have been proven to work.

Put a Positive Spin Even when you feel overwhelmed or Super-stressed.

Everybody experiences stress, it is good in small doses but it sucks when it hits some heights. When you are totally overwhelmed, maybe you are in tight schedule, overworked or both, take a moment and look for a good in any of them. The sensation of pressure does not always have to be negative, take it as a motivating factor or a challenge that is pushing you to your best levels. Additionally, you can view this as a warning signal that you need to scale up before you are completely wiped out.

Let Taking Low-key Walks Become Part of Your Life Routine.

Sometimes, all you need to do is step away from your daily environment, may it be workplace or home and breathe in some fresh air. Getting regular exercises such as yoga is important for mental health. However, taking part in less demanding exercises like regular relaxing walks can be soothing to your brains. When you step out into the world, you have an opportunity to connect with real and the rhythmic beauty of nature which has healing potential. Just twenty minutes after work or dinner will work perfectly.

Have Self Care Magazine.

Everyone has one or several coping mechanism that gives them a revamped energy when they are feeling low or crappy. Maybe you don’t know what yours is. It can be taking a bath, cleaning the house, watching a certain video clip or just chilling out that helps you cool down. Whatever it is, ensure it is readily accessible whenever you need it.

Challenge Your Inner Voice.

It is common to have a conversation in your mind, some even speak out loud to themselves. That inner voice sometimes tend to be cruel though you are the one controlling it. It may tend to convince you that you’re a disgrace, failure or you need to be anxious about something and stress out since you have no control about it. Learning to have a soft soothing and reassuring voice will make a big difference.

When you are Anxious, learn to ask yourself, And then What?

Ruminating over something that seems to have run out of control resulting to intense nervousness will not do you any good. At this point, force yourself to think ahead. This is an important technique as it helps you elucidate ideas and positive thoughts that are probable, reasonable and rational.

Have a Fixed Bedtime Schedule

Quality sleep is an essential part of your mental wellness. If you are struggling with anxiety or stress it becomes very difficult to achieve this. To conquer anxiety and stress, set bedtime and stick to it. This will program your body making it easier to fall asleep even when you feel overwhelmed. Keep in mind, the quality of sleep is of more importance than the hours slept.

Try Writing your Thoughts Down

Venting is fantastic for a reason: it helps you release frustration. It does not call for dedication, take around five minutes and jolt down your feelings, emotions or ideas. This will help keep track of your moods pattern over time making it possible to amend a certain occurrence when deemed necessary. Additionally, you can make a private project, non-judgmental space where you keep memories of things which you are not ready to discuss with someone else.

Build a List of ‘Your People’

You need to circle yourself with persons whom you can call or text anytime. This creates a strong sense of belonging and trust. Constantly go through your list and look for someone who you can reach out and share an experience or two. Loneliness worsens the condition, be sociable and things will change for the better.

BOTTOM LINE

Maybe you’ve tried a lot of common therapy techniques such as meditation, yoga and intense gym exercises but all have been in vain. Thankfully, there are a lot of off bit mental health tips you can incorporate in your daily life routine which will have a tangible effect, which you might not have had any idea it existed.

Brady Addresses the “Tom Terrific” Controversy

Another year, another Tom Brady “controversy”. This one led to New York Mets fans losing their minds. The issue for the easily outraged was over a nickname.

Tom received massive blowback due to Brady’s marketing team filing for the trademark “Tom Terrific”.

Baseball HOF pitcher Tom Seaver was known by fans as Tom Terrific and were not happy hearing about Brady’s plan. The fact this really took place is pure comedy.

Brady Spoke on the situation at his press conference today

Brady’s first press conference of the 2019 season had many asking about this entire debacle. “It’s unfortunate” Brady said, adding “I was actually trying to do something because I didn’t like the nickname and I wanted to make sure no one used it because some people wanted to use it.”

Brady Said he learned a good lesson…

The quarterback went into more detail saying, “I was only trying to keep people from using it, and then it got spun around into something different than what it actually was.” Why this is such a big deal in my opinion is obvious, it’s only because it’s Tom Brady. Any other athlete named Tom who decided to do this, none of this nonsense would’ve been news.

The fact Brady is speaking about this at his press conference is silly to me. Telling reporters “it was a good lesson learned, and I’ll try to do things differently in the future.”

TB12 has already said he hates being called the GOAT and expanded on people praising him in general

Continuing to explain himself to reporters Brady went on saying “I don’t like when people give me too many nice compliments, especially that. It wasn’t something I was trying to do out of any disrespect, ill manner, or anything like that.”

Anyone with a brain already knew that Brady wasn’t being disrespectful to the baseball legend, let’s hope this story is over.
